We had the good fortune of connecting with LaDena Chisum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaDena, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I’ve learned in running my business is to always do things with your purpose in mind. God has a unique plan for everyone and that plan is your purpose. The intent he had to place you in this world. There are alot of people that may have the same business as you, but God did not give you all the same vision blueprint. Everyone’s blueprint is different. In business if you are not able to identify your purpose you can get distracted looking at others and operating in their lane and not your own. In order to operate your business with purpose it’s important to identify your purpose, stay in your lane, and have tunnel vision to achieve the mission of your vision.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that I use my past as a platform to encourage and motivate others. I know that being delivered from your past is necessary in order to move forward and be the person God has called you to be. I focus on generational cycles because in order to know who you are you must know where you came from. Every family has generational curses and generational blessings. You want to reap the blessings but in order to REAP you must BREAK! Breaking generational cycles is important because there are cycle breakers in every family and it’s a choice to be the one person that commits to break the cycle. Everyone is not built for that. It takes someone that is able to be honest and speak truth to situations and be unapologetic and bold. Cycle Breakers go against the comfort and press through uncomfortable conversations to reach healing for future generations. This is one of my passions becasue I had to do the work internally to understand that God called me to break cycles. It’s not easy because I’m always the one speaking out and sweeping things from under the rug when most people are sweeping things under the rug. I’d rather deal with issues head on. I’ve realized that you don’t have to prolong healing. Once you acknowlede the truth, accept, and forgive the healing can begin. I want the world to know that everyone has to go through a process and there’s power in your process. My mission is to see people whole and set free and in order to get there you must be willing to do the internal work. The work is processing trauma and generational cycles, doing the healing, and identifying your purpose. Once you do the work it’s your responsibility to help others do the same. We have all heard money makes the world go round. Coach “L” says PURPOSE makes the world go round. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to GOD first and my Pastors Janice and Tony Jenkins of Fishers of Men I.C.M. and Elder Candra Yarbrough. They have been instrumental leaders and mentors in my journey. They are genuine and authentic and have walked with me through many obstacles and blessings. They have led by example and have shown what true servant leadership is. They always encouraged me to walk in love and do everything as if I’m doing it unto the Lord. They are truly concerned with my soul and it shows. They care for me and anyone connected to me and have made sure that I’m equipped to carry the call that God has placed on my life.
