We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Harvin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always had a passion for helping people, since childhood. When I became an adult and began to develop deep friendships with women, while developing my personal faith, I knew I needed to tie the two together. Essentially, I wanted to empower my friends with the courage of spirituality and then one day, I had the idea of empowering all women, not simply my friends. Thus, I decided to start a platform to merge two of my passions together- faith and girl power, haha!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’d say what sets me apart from others is my DNA. I’m my own being and am wired a specific way. I can only be Heather and will always be true to who I am. That’s honestly what I’m most proud of: Sharing my story and truth with whomever. When people listen to my music or watch my videos or even exchange in some form dialogue with me, they get all of me every time!

As far as the process for getting to where I am now, well… It’s been eventful! It was challenging of course and also adventurous. I’m grateful I never had a straightforward path to success because I gained so many life skills and learned valuable lessons along the way. I made many sacrifices early on, that I look back on today and thank God for. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is humility. We are never too good or advanced to extend support, of any kind, to someone in need. Down the line, that someone in need will be us! I want the world to know that brand is my story. Welcome to my life!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ooooo! This is a tricky question because I haven’t been out since pre-Covid. Ahh, I can’t remember all of my spots haha. But I’m big on dining, good music, excitement and entertainment. If my best friend were to come in town, and if everything were open, I’d definitely take her to Old Town Pasadena, The Drive in Movie Theatre, The Pantages, Ventura Blvd in Studio City and Sherman Oaks, The Americana, Laser Tag, Six Flags, Korean BBQ on Wilshire, Day Spa, the restaurant Joeys, The Blind Dragon, Crave Cafe, The Village in Topanga, Horse Back Riding in Burbank, live music and the Promenade, LA Live downtown, Football game and of course CHICK FIL A!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shoutout to everyone who’s been involved in my life, thus far. Whether it was/is a minor involvement (such as connecting briefly or in passing) or a major involvement (like my family and close friends), every interaction and exchange I’ve had for the last 30 years of my life has made an impact on my success as person in this world! Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart!
