Hi Ulises, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is a very important topic to talk about, because we have to first understand de difference between Risk , Gamble, or to do a dum decision, to take risks in my concept is, once I already. evaluated all my options, also know that I can accomplish what I want to to even without taking the risk, then I decide if I want to take the risk. in my professional life after I prepare myself with lots of learning, schools, practice, also having different jobs as an employee, I started my company and I was able to understand when it is a good time to take a risk, then also I always prepare myself in the case my risk move doesnt have the results expected then I can go back and create a new plan, or work on my plan B.
taking risk is where I have found the most rewards in my profesional work. but you have to know that not always will work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
im a musician, music producer, record label owner, Latin Grammy winner producer, also 11 times latin grammy nominations, I study music and also economics, music is my life and what makes me exited everyday to work on, creating music with your own personality is very important for me, so creating anything with your own personality is the clue, we all are different, and that’s where we can find our own voice, we have to be very honest about what we like and don’t like, so we can create that unique sound, its not easy because takes years of learning, then lots of years training, then creating your own voice,
I see music as a big place. to develop areas that I love about it,
for example,
I started having my band “Kinky” that is my main project and have the opportunity to record, and produce albums, do lots of live shows and touring
then we created Kin Kon Records a record label to have control on our music.
then I expanded my self and started producing other artist
then started other music projects to create sound that I wanted to explore
I started creating music for films and tv series
and I will keep exploring more new areas where I can develop projects or ideas that I want to explore.
this took more than 20 years so its very important that every project or step has the dedication and time to make it successful until you can create a new project.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
im a very studio nerd, so Im not the best tour guide, but I for sure can let you know where I hang out, I live in Los Angeles in the hollywood area, so the Hollywood bowl is a must, for any event they have you will have an amazing time, from classical music performances to electronic dance crazy shows.amazing outdoors venue.
I would also visit Santa Monica beach, love that area to walk and have an amazing day.
love silver lake, also amazing area to walk have lunch and check out amazing unique stores.
hollywood is cool to check out Melrose is one of my favorite areas to hang out,
