We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Brehant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success is that we care as deeply about our clients’ experience as we do about the wedding itself. Beautiful design gets people through the door, but trust, organization, anticipation, and genuine relationships are what create an unforgettable experience. We obsess over the details, anticipate problems before they happen, and make our clients feel genuinely cared for. That combination of intentional planning and heartfelt service is what has built our reputation and continues to fuel our referrals.

About Sarah Brehant Events

Sarah Brehant Events was built on the belief that luxury isn’t defined by extravagance, it’s defined by how people feel.

We’re a full-service wedding planning and design firm specializing in highly personalized, experience-driven celebrations throughout New England. While beautiful design is certainly part of what we do, our true passion lies in creating weddings that feel effortless, deeply personal, and unforgettable for both our clients and every guest in attendance.

What sets us apart is our approach. We don’t simply execute a vision, we become true partners throughout the planning process. Our clients trust us to anticipate needs before they arise, solve problems before they become visible, and advocate for them every step of the way. We care just as much about creating peace of mind as we do creating a stunning event.

My path to building this business wasn’t an overnight success. Like many entrepreneurs, it came with long hours, difficult lessons, and plenty of moments where I questioned whether I was doing enough. I learned early on that talent alone isn’t enough to build a lasting business. Systems matter. Communication matters. Relationships matter. Most importantly, consistency matters.

Over the years, I’ve learned that the weddings people remember most aren’t necessarily the ones with the biggest budgets, they’re the ones where every decision was intentional and every guest felt genuinely cared for. That philosophy has become the foundation of our company.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built. The majority of our business comes through referrals from past clients and industry partners, which is the greatest compliment we could receive. It tells me that people don’t just remember how their wedding looked, they remember how they felt throughout the entire experience.

As our company has grown, so has our vision. We’ve intentionally remained a boutique firm because we believe exceptional service requires time, presence, and genuine connection. We choose quality over quantity, allowing us to give every client the level of attention they deserve.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about Sarah Brehant Events, it’s this: we’re not in the business of planning weddings- we’re in the business of creating experiences that bring people together and memories that last long after the last dance. Beautiful weddings will always be our outcome, but caring deeply about our clients will always be our purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As someone who spends so much of my time creating memorable experiences for others, Rhode Island is one of my favorite places to escape. If my best friend came to visit for a week, we’d spend as much time as possible by the water, mixing iconic Newport spots with quieter coastal gems.

We’d kick it off with a dinner at Guisto in Newport (an absolute must) and we would order every item off the menu to share. Then we would spend the night at Castle Hill.

I’d also make sure the next day we explored Narragansett and South Kingstown and Charlestown. We’d spend a beach day at Scarborough State Beach, stop for Del’s Lemonade (watermelon), and end the evening with fresh seafood at Matunuck Oyster Bar, one of my favorite restaurants in New England.

No Rhode Island trip would be complete without getting out on the water, so we’d charter a sunset sail through Newport Harbor with a bottle of sauv Blanc and simply enjoy slowing down.

There’s something incredibly special about the coastal charm, the historic architecture and the laid-back pace that makes every visit feel like a true escape.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For sure my mom, who is my biggest cheerleader, mentor and inspiration.
