We had the good fortune of connecting with Toby Farrugia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Toby, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success, is the thought of helping others get the highest quality of their production or product. Making a production for someone always entails 200% dedication in each job done.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have had the pleasure of working with a large number of top artists and companies. Having a publishing deal with Sony has also been a great achievement in my career, together with a number of awards, which have kept me driving forward with every new project.

Challenges always arise, especially the beginning while trying to establish yourself it tales a lot of dedication and sacrifice but if you work hard enough you will get there.

Never give up, keep believing, keep learning and keep growing. If you do what you love you won’t have to work a day in your life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Malta and it’s a little gem. The scenery, architecture and beaches are second to none and the food is exceptional.

I have my little spots where I go to get away after a long day closed in the studio. Either by the sea, in nature or at a quiet wine bar, that’s my meditation

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have always been into music since a little kid. Learning piano at age six, listening my dad play his vast vinyl collection. So my greatest influence was probably my dad.
