We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Rickman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather, what matters most to you?
Faith, Freedom, Family, Friends & a good F*!Xking Time!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I own & operate The Steer Saloon- a vintage trailer bar. Being a bar veteran of over 11 years, I decided to take a leap in creating this unique bar experience in my attempt to ditch the neon lights and 2 am last calls. With help from American Travelers Restoration, my dream trailer was created! Rustic tones, white walled tires, dual tower keg system, & an enormous rustic American Flag as my backdrop made Liberty ( that’s her name!) the gem she is today! I launched my business in 2019. I had six scheduled, paid for events that year . I had over twenty events for the following year, 2020, & then the world shut down. All the fears and stresses of how I was going to make it came creeping in. Cancelled & rescheduled were words that I dreaded. The Covid forced me to get creative so that’s just what I did. If you know about the Speakeasy Saloon, then you know! Seeing silver linings, trusting His plan & having a can-do attitude helped me pull through the dark year of American history.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Itinerary’s are my JAM!

Places to eat: The Mill all day in Old Town Murrieta – thee best food ever pizzas pastas & you must eat the spinach salad.
La Unica in Lake Elsinore &/or Casa Jimenez in Murrieta – hands down best Mexican food & delicious cocktails.
French Valley Airport- great breakfast & excellent bartenders. Cool to see planes take off and land too! My boy loves it!
The Shamrock – excellent Irish pub with super rad bartenders!
Crafted Scone old town Murrieta – best scones & owned by a female patriot!
The fix bakery – delicious & unique sweets & treats ( even keto friendly!)

Bars/Breweries- All bartenders love bars- here are some of my faves
Wild West Arena, Batch Mead ( yes it’s brewed mead!!) Pitstop Pub, 8bit brewing , Wild Barrel Brewery ( great Sours! Plus there’s axe throwing too!) Skybox Bar & Grill, The Tavern Grill & obviously all the wineries — Doffo, Peltzer & Longshadow are my faves.

Things to do:
– antique shop & catch an intimate concert at Grumps Garage
-Wine tasting— Peltzer has fun events happening all the time!
-shop the small businesses in Old Town Temecula , farmers Markets, and pop up shops.
– berry pick at the Blueberry Farm or Kenny’s Strawberry farm

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
