We had the good fortune of connecting with Tha Chill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tha, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Im born and raised in Compton Ca. my upbringing was fair with the cards I was dealt. I had mom in the house doin her best ,so if we was poor ,I couldn’t tell cause I never knew wut rich felt like. at the same time grown up , I always strived for more so music was my outlet.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
it def. want easy to stay focus in a world full of struggle.at the same time, I never wanted to be or act like others. I’m very comfortable being who I am. I’m also thankful for the fans and support that I get fro 30 something odd years ago to now. im blessed to still be able to push my line as a producer/artist and still be payed attention to . that’s dope.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I try to make things to do at home. I have everything I want at home.but if it was somewhere to go.we can ride in my lowrider to the beach and eat good sea food. or hit Vegas and try to catch a raider game or something like that.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give my wife the shot out she deserves for being the president. of boomdocz , and deepen her foot on my neck day to day to make everyday a day to make something happen for our brand.
