We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela and Joy Wabi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela and Joy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Let’s be real, people see all the photos on Instagram of girls with flawless wigs and baby hairs laid to perfection. They want to achieve that LOOK. You see, the most important factor behind the success of our brand is simple. We figured, let’s make that look possible for everyone! Here at WabiWigs we pride ourselves in providing quality, beginner friendly units that will give you the confidence to be able to do your hair yourself, so you too can develop your inner stylist!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
While other hair companies choose to exclude their customers by using secret methods and tricks, we are upfront, personal, and honest. After becoming frustrated learning wig techniques from countless different videos, we thought of this business so that others wouldn’t have our same problem. Since our beginning we have created an open platform to help others without secrecy, and that is something we feel is very important. Entrepreneurship is not easy, and it takes a lot of discipline, but with each milestone that passes by we see it’s true reward. We’ve learned that what we put in is what we will receive and sometimes the fruit of our labor may go unseen for quite some time. Yet, each month we’ve learned something new and we’re excited for what is to come!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, I would for sure take them down to Malibu Creek for a quick hike to the waterfalls. Those views are some of the San Fernando Valley’s hidden treasures. It’d almost be wrong if we didn’t bask in the sun, while listening to Malibu’s waves down at Paradise Cove. Shopping would be a must, as the Westfield Village, is filled with all of our favorite designer stores! I absolutely love Pressed Juicery, so we’d for sure have to stop by and take a vitality shot! What’s Los Angeles without a Lakers game? Staples Center is a must! And last but not least can’t forget about the tacos! There are so many spots around – we’d have to go to more than just one. Hopefully, they’re down for the ride!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to dedicate this shoutout to our family. They believed and invested in our brand when we didn’t believe in it ourselves. Their contribution of love and support planted the seed that grew our dreams!
