We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Lizzet Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Barbara Lizzet, what do you attribute your success to?
I feel the most important factor behind my success is my hunger. What I mean by that is that I really really really wanted this dream of mine to come through. This meant to do whatever meant necessary for everyone to know my name. I learned “the hustle” at a very early age. My dad took me to go door to door to sell cleaning supplies while we lived in Mexico City. When I arrived to the United States at the age of 15 years old, I realized I could open a lot of doors. I didn’t know how or when but I knew somehow someway I was going to make it happen.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My business caters to the entertainment industry, I work with a lot of musicians, influencers, actors and public figures. I feel what sets me apart if my professionalism and my results. I have been able to provide my clients with strategies to create the result they were searching for. Also, my ability to adapt to ALL new apps and social media platforms. I am most proud about being able to be a “role model” for younger women or single moms who are trying to make it in any industry. It feels great when people send me messages saying I have been an inspiration to their careers to keep going.

I networked like a crazy woman and I attended every single event in Hollywood. I made sure people remembered me and I kept in touch with them even when I wasn’t around. It wasn’t easy, it was extremely difficult! I was always told I wouldn’t go far or I wouldn’t fit in! My hunger and determination are the main factors that made me overcome my insecurities and challenges. I learned that you can’t trust everyone, I used to befriend everyone. I learned that respect is way more important that being liked.

I want the world to know that no matter how hard it gets, I am here to be the primary example that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I wanted to show my friends a great time out here in Los Angeles. I would totally take them to eat at Larsen’s in Woodland Hills, play games at Dave & Busters, Universal Studios, Warner Bros Tour, Hollywood Walk of Fame and the LA Zoo.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this Shoutout LA series article to my kids Jacob and Alan, who inspire me to keep going every single day, my parents, my mentor and old friend Adam Santana, my sisters and brothers at Yahoo! Allyshipand, my super heroes at Freedom 4 Youth, my amazing organization LEAGUE Badass DoGooders, my personal trainer Mark Jenkins and to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey.
