Meet Victoria Prado | Actress, Singer, & Dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Prado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, how do you think about risk?
I think taking risks are one of the most important ways for you to grow. If I had not taken risks in my life I would not be where I am today. I did a lot of growing this past year and my take away has been if not now, then when so why not now? From that mentality I have come out more confident in who I am and what I have to offer not only as a performer but as a person as well.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am first and foremost a performer. I have always loved performing in musicals where I get to act, sing, and dance together. I have recently made the shift into film and television to which I have found a new love for and hope to be apart of movie musicals in the future. What sets me apart from others is that I have learned that whatever I am doing which could be acting, singing, dancing, directing, writing, producing, it really doesn’t matter what it is I will succeed at anything I put my mind and full heart into. It doesn’t even have to be performing related I have found myself having a new level of confidence that has translated into productivity across the board in my life. It was not easy building my confidence which has been my biggest downfall. It’s so easy to listen to the rude comments and whispers but it doesn’t matter what anyone says as long as you love what your doing keep doing it. I have learned in the past year that theres so much to experience in life and if you aren’t doing what you love they why are you doing it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was coming over I would get two jars one filled with places to eat and the other filled with places to go and we would pull from there and see where we end up. Some of my favorite places to go are Aroma Cafe, La Tropezienne Bakery, and Toca Madera.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people I would like to thank for where I am today. I would first like to thank my beautiful mother. She has always been there for me, pushing and supporting me through every dream and anything I’ve ever wanted to do. She has sacrificed so much and has taught me that family means everything. My husband who brings me so much joy, I love you to the moon and back. My manager Dolores Cantu for believing in me and giving me the chance to achieve my dreams. My sister who has taught me so much from compassion to being yourself. My father who has helped me through so many difficult situations. My grandparents who have taught me what life can look like when you put the hard work in. My aunt who would take the shirt off her own back to help you out. I am so thankful for everyone in my life and ultimately I could go on for hours talking all of the amazing people who have touched my life. So whether you know it or not thank you for making an impact in my life.
