We had the good fortune of connecting with michael foulkrod and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi michael, how do you think about risk?
walked into a church and got a job painting restoration then i started my own decorative painting co back in NYC 1983 .Sitting on the end of my bed making wall finishes samples to show designers within a few months i was working for the best in my field having no idea what i was doing.what worked was that i stayed honest and of service in my approach .Moved to LA in 1991 with the super model actress talk about risk

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At this time  was to doing fine decorative finishes and  muralist in fine homes . the key was building a library of info and images to influence in the understanding what works than make it my own. With all good things come fear. But if you stay open and do the foot work it will falls into place i know it sound easy said than done.Like any art you have to put in the mileage  and as you grow your audience grows. If you want to be a winner run with the winners surround yourself with good people that have what you want thus you find your family .In my heart always was the spirit of a fine arts painter. after years of celebs homes, hotel murals, cliental  etc i woke up to my spirit. The love of painting since a child over came me knowing the risk of starting over. i was been never so happy and broke at the same time.Yet in time i do ok now .Do what excites you for me was painting portraits to get my skill up and tornados from my storm chasing days. Its ever changing  but Paint your life and share it and keep learning. The only risk is the fear of not taking risk and wish you had. so come and share this time with me

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
