Meet Zoë Dane | Clinical Hypnotherapist, Feminine Embodiment & Empowerment Guide, Spiritual Mentor.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoë Dane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zoë, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risks as potent opportunities to learn what I am made of and how committed I am to my mission on this planet. Every time I take a risk, whether I succeed or fail, I am awakening to more of my own capacity for greatness, because I am out in the arena of Life. Taking risks, saying yes to the things that both excite & terrify me, takes me out of my head and into my body. They make me feel alive, empowered and brave. They allow me to know and develop myself and my career on a deeper level. Being an entrepreneur requires me to take many risks. I am constantly risking my ego’s infatuation with being liked or approved of in order to fully express myself and reach the heart’s of those I am meant to reach. I risk rejection and ridicule every time I share or launch something vulnerable, edgy and from my heart; and that’s the magic of it all. The magic is the humanness that gets exposed through risk taking. When I fail, I am humbled and sometimes my ego is bruised- but I get to learn and integrate so much from the failures. When I succeed, I have now stretched my capacity to be bold and am ready to lean into the next edge in order to expand even more! Risk-taking is one of the greatest gifts of life, because if we don’t take them, if we don’t seize the opportunity to brave the unknown, we will never know what we are truly made of.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is channeling my soul into offerings for the world through creating social media content, online course experiences for women, and facilitating hypnotherapy sessions for my clients. When I am holding space for another to express the depths of their being or creating hypnosis experiences for my clients, that is my art. When I am in flow-state and my heart’s truth is pouring out of my fingers into writing to share with others, that’s my art.
What sets me apart from others is my willingness to be a loving disruption by uninhibitedly expressing my essence in all of my creations. I push edges. I speak and live from my heart. I am devoted to truth. I love to challenge what’s considered “normal.” I am the most proud of and excited about launching my first 3 month online immersion for women called Rose Gold Alchemy! It’s an exploration of forbidden feminine archetypes to help women awaken their unapologetic expression within a community of women. In it, we explore the archetypes of The Sacred Bitch, The Holy Whore, and The Divine Witch to embody more personal sovereignty, sacred sexuality & spiritual alignment. It was not easy to birth this course. As you can see, it’s pretty edgy. It’s an exploration of everything women have been shamed for and told not to embrace for centuries. It’s a reclamation. It took me a year to finally launch it. It was scary. It pushed me to all of my edges. I hired a business coach for 3 months to help me launch it. I had many breakdowns and breakthroughs. Birthing my precious creations into the world and stepping into entrepreneurship as a creator/artist/guide has not been an easy process, but a deeply rewarding and humbling one! It requires me to meet and face all of my insecurities, doubts and fears in order to return to my heart. It requires devotion to my most authentic self. It requires me to continually surrender and let go of my attachments to people, places and things. I am a living embodiment of what I teach and share, which means I am committed to going through the fire first. This is how all of my creations, content, courses and compassion are birthed- through alchemizing my own pain into Gold and then sharing that Gold with others. In whatever capacity I feel called. This is my life’s path. This is my art.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Mmm. I suggest driving up the coast to Malibu and stopping at The Lake Shrine Self Realization Fellowship on the way there. For yummy food- Granville in Studio City is super delicious and a great date night spot. For my vegan peeps- I would suggest going to eat at Crossroads on Melrose, Sun Cafe in Studio City, and H.O.P.E. in Studio City. Marie Et Cie in Studio City is a super cute little French cafe with gluten free and vegan options*, and it’s also a sweet little gift shop and furniture store. For my sushi lovers- Crazy Rock’n Sushi or Sugarfish in West Hollywood are super fresh and delicious. For shopping, I recommend Crossroads in Studio City and/or in Hollywood for great recycled finds! All of Ventura Blvd in Studio City is a fun place to shop, they do a Farmer’s Market over there every Sunday that’s great. Hidden Treasures in Topanga Canyon is a one-of-a-kind vintage store to check-out, especially for unique festival attire. There are a bunch of great hiking trails in Topanga Canyon as well. Runyon and Fryman Canyon are also pretty popular hiking trails. The Yogi Tree Center For Growth and RAMA are great spots for kundalini yoga. Reach out to me on social media if you would like to be a part of women’s circles and moon ceremonies!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shoutout HMI College of Hypnotherapy for being the doorway to my career path, the books Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés and A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson for being my spiritual bibles throughout the years, my incredible kundalini teacher Charmaine Hamp, my best friend Karina Paz for being the wind beneath my wings and supporting and encouraging me so much on my path, my supportive partner Teddy Saunders for helping me build my website and dial-in the technological aspects of my career, my mom Ashley Dane for her unconditional love & support and for raising us with spiritual values. Shoutout to every heartbreak, every lover, every lesson, every blessing, every rock bottom- for it has all taught me so much. I would love to shoutout Teal Swan, Gary Zukav, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Layla Martin, Brené Brown, Abraham Hicks, Ram Das for being such legends in their fields of work and for being such guides and sources of wisdom and inspiration for me on my journey.
