We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalija Ugrina and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalija, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
The thing that makes me the happiest is traveling! I just love exploring new places, meeting you people and learning about new cultures. I think those experiences are what makes your truly rich and a better person
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was mainly a model and actress most of my life but somehow, along the way, I became an Influencer and since the pandemic started, it became my full time job. I am focused on Travel and Fashion and I have almost 1.5 million followers combined between all the platforms. I am grateful to each and every follower and I am always happy to connect with them on my live streamings, they really brighten up my day. Having a strong community that supports you is the key to success. Of course, getting where I am wasn’t as easy as everyone thinks. I came to LA from the small country of Croatia and I didn’t know anyone in the beginning. But LA is the city of dreams and mine came true with a lot of work and effort. People always just see the result but there is a lot of work and sacrifices behind. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that every day is a new beginning and no matter how bad was the previous day, you can always start fresh and change your life towards better. You have to be persistent and you will accomplish everything you dream of.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I think the best part of Los Angeles is the lifestyle we have here! I am a big coffee lover so the first sport I would take them is Mondo caffe in Beverly Hills where I live. After that, we would stroll down the Rodeo drive, Canyon Gardens and have lunch at Il Pastaio (place where I like to take all of my European friends, as there is always at least one celebrity there, if not more). The next stop would be the Getty Museum where they can enjoy art and beautiful gardens and it’s definitely one of my favorite spots in LA. After that, I would put my car’s top down and take PCH all the way to Malibu to see some of SoCal’s magical sunsets. They are not to be missed at El Matador Beach which is also one of the best places to snap some photos. The night would end at my favorite restaurants like The Sunset restaurant on Zuma Beach or Nobu Malibu.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest supporter was always my Mom and it’s her who I would like to dedicate my shoutout to. Poet and writer Ketrin Buljevic
