We had the good fortune of connecting with Heeva Asefvaziri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heeva, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The idea for Flush Packaging was born out of the desire to create and make accessible high quality packaging products that solve universal packing, presentation, and shipping damage challenges experienced by small and large businesses alike.

I am absolutely in love with packaging. But throughout my career, I always noticed this glaring problem when it came to the minimal accessibility of truly helpful packaging products. The definition of “custom packaging” seemed to be synonymous with “custom printing” but the premium paid for a box with custom printing does nothing when it comes to trying address the universal problem of how to ship products safely and economically while setting a high bar for presentation.

Through Flush Packaging, we address this issue by creating scalable protective packaging for some of the most common items on the planet that small and large businesses use to create their products. We now carry a full line of packaging designed and optimized for the safe shipping of Mason jars, bottles, and many other popular containers that thousands of businesses use to create products like candles, jams, sauces, oils, and a lot more.

What should our readers know about your business?
Flush solves the packaging problems that others seem to ignore or deem unworthy of attention. We spend time learning deeply about the common challenges that our customers face and let their stories and experience shape the products we develop. This is the road upon which we drive product development. I am most excited about this aspect of our business as it is our source of inspiration for innovating never before seen packaging products on the open market.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ohhh this is a hard one! For a week long trip, we would first stop off at Woodland Hills Market in Woodland Hills where we would load up on Iranian groceries and sweets to have throughout the week. We would go to Universal Studios just so we can do the Universal backlot tour and be almost eaten by the shark from Jaws! To enjoy the outdoors we would head on over to Malibu Creek State Park for a long hike through the hills followed my some seafood at the Malibu Fish Market. We would also make a day trip and drive north to Ojai where we could catch incredible views of the Topa Topa mountains.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am very fortunate and thankful to be working alongside my best friend Randy Baudendistel who shares the same passion that I do for helping others through packaging. I also can’t emphasize enough how fortunate I am to have parents that instilled a hard work ethic in me along with the positive mental outlook that has helped me persevere through the challenges of running a business.
