We had the good fortune of connecting with Karielle Law and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
For most of my life I’ve always felt behind when it came to my peers. I never really realized the important things about myself until my later years, but the one thing that did stay consistent was holding a video camera. I’ve also never been apart of anything great. All of my sports teams I’ve played on weren’t good, the management at jobs I’ve worked weren’t good, and a lot of projects I’v worked on weren’t good. So I decided to create something that I believe is great. Add that with me being a late bloomer, and you have A Late bloomer Productions.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a very simplistic person. My work reflects that. I like to get my point across as simple as possible, but with great detail. I like quality, so I produce that. To me, cinematography is the most important aspect, so I make sure I produce a great project from that. I want the camera angles, camera movements, focal lengths, and lighting to tell the story just as much as the script.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not an LA native, so I don’t really know too many spots to go. I’m from the midwest, so there aren’t any beaches, so I’d take my friends to a few beaches out here. I know it’s cliche, but I’d take them to eat Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles. Since there’s always something going on in LA, we’d look at Eventbrite and see whats going on around the city, and just jump from event to event. I would also take them to some dispensaries. We’ll pretty much just be enjoying the weather and the outdoors.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to first shoutout my parents. It didn’t matter what I aspired to be; they’d always give me full support and encouragement. I couldn’t have asked for a better pair. I want to shoutout my guy Mike Wilds with Basic Films LA. He took me under his wing with the visual scene in Los Angeles.
I want to shoutout my close circle for being really supportive and uplifting, because there were quite a few times when I just wanted to give up. You all held it down for me. I love you all.
