We had the good fortune of connecting with ozzy the grouch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ozzy, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My music and art has ideas that include the challenges I have faced as a straight polyamorous man and the success I’ve found in being true to myself and everyone around me. I genuinely hope my music and ideas can bring greater awareness to others that have never heard of my sexuality or that perhaps have a misunderstanding of what that sort of relationship structure looks like.

Aside from that I magnify social issues that affect our country on a day to day basis such as police brutality, racism, and the increasing wage gap. While I respect everyones opinions, my goal is to make sure that everyone who consumes my content is fully informed on the topics I believe to be important!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I just dropped my first album in February titled “GrouchWORLD”🌎 that tells my romantic journey through the past year or so. Before GrouchWORLD I had 2 EPS and a bunch of singles I’d dropped on Spotify and YouTube. Out of all the songs on the album, I’m most excited about “You Need Jesus” ft. Yapi Drew so make sure you run that track back the next time you listen in👌🏼🚀

I do feel like I’ve come a long way creatively and business-wise to be able to make informed decisions and overall have a better product and release. Sadly, it wasn’t easy though. Everything runs on money in LA so many of the acquaintances I made over the years were more interested in profiting off me or looking for bigger artists that can provide them with better opportunities. I overcame these challenges by working harder, helping others, and continuing to grow my circle. Not everyone wants to make a buck off you or wants you to do something for them but you have to be patient!!! And don’t let the BS discourage you from making it to the top!! AND MOST OF ALL: KEEP IT SEXY

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA always has something new to try! Here’s some of my favorite places to eat/visit

-Paradise Cove in Malibu
-Tacos Reyes in Canoga
-Manguito Restaurante Salvadoreña in North Hollywood
-Iroha Sushi in Studio City
-Mulberry Pizzeria in Beverly Hills
-Paradise Falls in Thousand Oaks
-Mulholland Scenic Overlook in Beverly Hills
-Gen KBBQ House in Burbank

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
For my Shoutout I want to give a huge shout to my close friend and music partner Bozuku 🔥🔥! He’s not only a creative titan with over 100k Spotify streams and hundreds of unreleased songs in the vault but he’s also helped me with Sound Engineering, Graphic Design, Film, Music Videos, Creative Directing – the list goes on and on!

The Truth is in The Music but the music would’ve never been as polished if it weren’t for him 💯💯

We also started a music collective together called It’s All Love Collective!! Peep us out kids!!
