Meet Aisha Wharton | Broker/Realtor®️

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aisha Wharton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aisha, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I firmly live by the motto “no risk, no reward.” It has been brought to my attention that I am a big risk taker, as I took a chance and uprooted myself more than once. I initially left my hometown of Toronto, Canada to move to Miami and upon deciding it wasn’t the right timing, I returned back to Toronto to reassess my next steps. Despite that minor setback, I didn’t let it stop me from ultimately finding my place and career success in Charlotte, North Carolina where I currently reside.
So to me risk has played a major role in my success. When I first considered taking the leap to not only move to a new environment but an entirely new country, I had the luxury of having a really good support system. I knew that I wanted more of a challenge, and felt that the US provided more career opportunities to be successful. Despite not knowing what to expect when I first made the move, that fear of failure pushed me to make something of myself. This truth has applied to all areas of my life, including my personal growth, career, and relationships.
I think about risk from the stand point of being necessary for growth and success. Your comfort zone is a dangerous place to be, because you never want to leave it. You have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable in order to reach your full potential.

What should our readers know about your business?
My diverse sales experience along with 10+ years marketing/event related expertise have helped me to develop the skills to get to where I am today. This was not an easy journey for me, there were a lot of missteps and learning experiences along the way. I know that this is what life is all about so I find the joy in the learning and just keep pushing through. I read this saying once, along the lines of “if you feel like you’re in hell, why stop there…keep going” that always stuck with me and never let me give up no matter how difficult things may get.
I want people to know that when you love what you do, your work doesn’t feel like a job. I thoroughly enjoy being a real estate broker as it allows me to meet and help others achieve their real estate goals, whether that is their forever home or an investment into their future. I am an intelligent, dedicated and strong woman with big plans for myself. I aspire to have a team of like minded individuals working with me to continue building out my real estate brand and vision. I make it my mission to remain at the forefront of the industry by staying educated on the current trends while utilizing my extensive network, as my main purpose is to help you achieve the keys to your dream.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a self proclaimed foodie and wine connoisseur so most of the activities would revolve around that. I would start off with a good brunch/breakfast spot like Easy like Sunday or Haberdish. For dinner, you are most likely to find me enjoying a good steak or some seafood so definitely Steak 48 or Caroline’s Oyster Bar. I also love sushi so I would definitely have to take them to O-KU which is my favorite in the city. I love a good glass of wine so somewhere like Dilworth Tasting Room is a nice experience, both locations have a different vibe and slight variations in the menu.
For activities, I would either take them to Crowder’s Mountain for a hike or the Whitewater Center which is an all encompassing outdoor lifestyle experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As I previously mentioned, I have a really great support system. My parents have always supported my endeavors and seemingly risky choices. Without them I am not quite sure where I would be, growing up as an only child I developed a unique relationship with them. We were always like our own little team helping each other out along the way. Thank you to my parents, Maureen and Bromme for always having my back no matter what choices I make.
