We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Diane Strachowski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Diane, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
As a licensed psychologist, I can only touch the lives of my private practice individuals and couples. I love making a difference in helping people with their mental health and relationships.

But I wanted to reach a larger audience and help educate people who maybe never go to therapy or those who need a little help. The older I get I realize that, at the end of the day, relationships are what matter most. I created my Instagram page @backtolovedoc to be a place to reach my target audience. Singles looking to find love or couples hoping to deepen their relationship.

I’m touched every day when I get DM’s about how much my platform has helped to change lives and how much people are learning from me. Since creating my page I’ve also created online programs to help people become more secure in their relationships. All to help them feel more confidence speaking up and choosing a partner that will be a better long term fit.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’ve been a licensed psychologist for over twenty years. I’m most proud of my online presence and people referring to me as their favorite go to doctor for all things dating and relationships. I also celebrate my success as turning one of my ‘guilty pleasures’ watching the Bachelor into a passion project. I started watching the Bachelor when I was single twenty years ago, but now I watch as a happily married woman with my husband. I watch now, not for inspiration but for examples of the different attachment types I educate people about. I’m equally excited about my Free Online Love Style Quiz, I’m had close to 70,000 people take my quiz who now know a little bit about attachment theory and specifically how they love.

I call myself the Bachelor Psychologist and I’ve been on some big podcasts including Nick Viall’s show and Dave Neal, both consumers of Bachelor Nation. I’m a big fan of Love is Blind and will be on Shake’s podcast as well. My interest in watching reality dating shows has turned into a great platform for me to inspire, educate and connect with people on a much larger scale.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My husband and I are big travelers; we’ve taken my 89-year-old Dad to Europe to visit Poland and Italy to explore his native homeland and visit the holy city.

Our favorite adventures have been with our two sons,- trekking in Patagonia, scuba diving in Turks and Caicos, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Skiing in Whistler, Utah, and California. My husband and I are avid bike riders, doing 100-mile rides and seeing the fall leaves in Vermont.

We rented an RV and drove to the national parks, hiking by day and camping by night on our most recent week-long trip. When family or friends come to visit, we take them to San Franciso, Napa Valley, and Carmel. Our favorite restaurants are Crush in Napa, Pearl in SF, Carmel Valley Ranch in Carmel Valley.

Locally we love Evvia and Cafe Vida in Palo Alto and Menlo Park, respectively. The bike trails in Woodsie, Portola Valley and riding to the coast are sights not to be missed.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out to Becky Crawley; she’s the woman I owe my online success to behind the scenes. She’s helped me design my courses, launch them and manage my email campaign, marketing, and webinars.

Becky’s been instrumental in taking my business to the next level and helping me look up to the next great thing. Everyone needs a Becky to help them market their business.
