We had the good fortune of connecting with Esmeralda Padilla-Gould and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Esmeralda, what do you want people to remember about you?
It has been my passion to aim high and aspire to accomplishing extraordinary things, such as humanitarian service, using my voice to empower others, and always maintaining high personal standards in hopes of influencing others positively. The person I’ve become has been shaped from my accomplishments and failures, and my life experiences. It’s what I do with what I have learned while I am in the public eye, which will further my ability to help others. I believe that the true meaning of success is not measured by material things one can hoard, or how wealthy one can become, but by living in accordance to the values that are important to me. I want to leave a legacy of total wellness, and be remembered as someone who generously shared her time and effort to enhance other people’s lives.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I came from a prominent showbiz Padilla clan in the Philippines, so singing runs in the family. I remember having a strong passion for music since I was five years old. I’d always sing wherever I went. When I emigrated to the United States in 1996, I joined the church choir at Our Lady Of Las Vegas Church and started getting invitations to sing in various non-profit organizations. I’ve found myself entertaining the Las Vegas crowd. However, I took a break when I got married to focus on my family and in raising my precious son. When my son turned 7 I felt a desire to go back to singing, so I went back to singing at the church choir as well as in singing in various non-profit organizations. I even became the club president of the Las Vegas Spring Valley Lions Club where I discovered that I am a humanitarian at heart. I’ve always wanted to bring pride and prestige to my family and winning the title of Mrs. Asian Las Vegas in 2014 made that dream a reality. Then in 2017, I was invited by the popular Vegas based Global Asian Network, ACTV, to become their newscaster on Asian News and host of a music show called Music Planet. The following year I was given the opportunity to host my very own show, VegasVibes, where I interview personalities from many walks of life who contribute in making Las Vegas the Entertainment Capital of the World. I feel blessed for all the wonderful opportunities and excited for what life has in store for me. It has its challenges, for one the long hours of filming and preparation take time away from my family but I’m blessed to have an understanding and supportive husband and son who allow me to grow and fulfill my dreams.

A lesson I’ve learned along the way, is letting go of my fear or worry. I’m a perfectionist and sometimes can be too hard on myself when things don’t go as planned. I’ve realized that God is in control. Life is about the journey, not the destination. Strive to do your best and surround yourself with people who will bring out the best in you and no matter what happens in life, don’t be discouraged, continue creating wonderful memories while chasing your dreams.

I’d like to inspire the younger generation, as well as mothers like me, to pursue their dreams no matter how exotic they may appear at that time. It’s important to learn to be patient and persevere no matter how hard it is or how hard it gets. Make a decision to commit in making your dreams a reality. Ultimately live the life you love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World, The Wedding Capital of the World, The Retirement Haven of the World, and one of the best and biggest gaming venues , Mega concerts and conventions, all nestled amongst the best resorts in the world, and that’s just some of the reasons why Vegas is THE GLOBAL BRAND.  There are more shows and performers here than in any other city worldwide.  From stand-up comedians, jaw-dropping Cirque du Soleil shows, magic, Broadway musicals, adult shows and funny hypnotists. There is never a night in the city without someone famous singing at some of the top concert halls. Boxing and UFC fights are also among the most popular events in the world – the city frequented by entertainers – pop and rock stars, as well as by famous standup comedians. When it comes to food, Las Vegas has every type of cuisine you can think of and the best restaurants in the world. You’ll never be hungry because you’ll always find establishments that are open 24/7. So, as you see… Las Vegas boasts a vast variety always available. Whatever your preference, Las Vegas has it in spades.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Even the greatest influencers of all time were inspired by other great men and their achievements in history. I would like to recognize my rock, one of the many reasons, I can serve in the community and continue to do what I love. He wears so many hats: my very own advisor, ghost writer, counselor, repair man, auto mechanic, electrician, personal cook, editor, caregiver, protector and awesome lover… my husband, Jeffrey Gould. I also would like to thank my wonderful fourteen-year-old son, Kenneth, for inspiring me and for being my core of motivation and the reason why I work hard. And to all my followers for their continuous support. I promise to the best of my abilities to make each year a fruitful one. I would like to thank our God Almighty for all the blessings He had showered upon us.
