We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandro Torres and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandro, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always been drawn to making videos that entertain people. I remember having a YouTube channel (which got banned lol) back in the MySpace days and they would get some traction. Seeing the reaction of people enjoying my videos made me happy and coming up with ideas for a video always came natural to me. So a mix of those two things made me pursue a creating content path.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel like I’m not your typical content creator that just sticks to one thing. I don’t really have a “niche”.
I create videos from everything on pop culture, food places to try out around LA, fitness & just my life stories & skits. Basically your typical day with a friend, but captured on video.
Sharing my life is what helped me get a following on TikTok and I’m grateful that people would take time out of their day to view what I share with the world. That alone taught me a very valuable lesson, without the people that support you by watching, liking & commenting on my videos, I wouldn’t be fortunate enough to be where I’m at today.
I came to the US when I was 9 and never did it cross my mind that I would be creating content for a living & I owe it all to the people that support me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot would on top of the Hollywood sign! Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love to hike up there.
The view up there is amazing. You get to soak how big LA is you just stop and think of your life, your dreams and what you want to accomplish in the city.
To eat, Ahi Poké & Roll in Santa Fe springs. That is literally best poké spot and the whole world needs to share it (no I’m not getting paid to say this either lol)
For dessert, you neeeeed to try the honey comb flavored ice cream from Van Leeuwen.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would definitely say my girlfriend Michelle. She’s always so supportive of my crazy ideas and she’s the person that always pushes me to commit to those ideas.
Whenever I want to discuss certain topics, she always gives her insight & I use her opinion on something to create my videos. So shout out to her 🙂
