Meet Junia Robinson | CEO of JaCo Skin and Beauty

We had the good fortune of connecting with Junia Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Junia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started making my own products when I became a mother. I was super extra but cautious about what I used on their skin, which also made me more cautious on what I used as well. Once I saw how great it was for our skin, my parents and family wanted me to make them some as well. Then eventually it started becoming friends of family. I actually never knew anything about starting a business but I knew I wanted to help women (men & children) with giving them natural, healing products that they could trust. So I researched and researched, made my own website etc and just started. I’m still learning as I grow in my business(s) but my thought process was honestly just to start! I knew the goal and I just started.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
So JaCo Skin and Beauty is all about providing our customers with the best Skin, Body & Vaginal Care Products with natural, quality ingredients. Even though my lane of business is slowly becoming over-saturated, I honestly believe that I am the reason why my business will set me apart from others. I don’t want to just make and sell products, I want (and plan too) make an impact. It’s deeper than products. So far I have had customers tell me how I saved their marriage, helped them come out of depression or get back excited about taking care of themselves. All because of my soaps, oils and more. To obtain wealth from my business/vision is always great, but to make an impact in peoples lives with my gift is the ultimate goal and will always set me apart from others.
So, with me having that mindset is how I got to where I am today and I’m still growing. I’m no where near where I want to be and It’s not easy at all!! But I’ve learned to stop comparing myself, stop doubting or being fearful, stop looking at what other businesses are doing and focus on me and the ideas that God gives to me and to have PATIENCE. I also changed my mindset on how I look at things. It’s never negative. If something doesn’t happen or go right, instead of being negative I just say “okay, not yet” or “maybe it’s some things I need to experience before that goal can be reached”. But one thing I never do, is stop. Consistency and SHOWING UP is key!
Soon and very soon, more of the world will know about JaCo Skin and Beauty. I’ll be on Target shelves and more. But most importantly, I’m going to change more and more of peoples lives through my products.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So one thing me and my best friends have in common is that we love food! We workout and drink detox tea so we can continue to enjoy food!
So I think if I could plan a trip it would be to visit maybe the Top 5 restaurants in one or two cities, do some wine tastings, have some spa and massage time. Because my friends are also moms or business owners as well so eating, drinking and RELAXING is like #1 in all of our lives.
Now I will say I would personally have to find some kind of place that has games and race cars somewhere because I’m always down for that.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All credit and recognition goes to God first! I wouldn’t be or could do anything without him! My parents, husband and my two baby boys are also who I would have to give BIG thanks too. My husband sacrificed so much and was the sole provider of our household so that I could accomplish my goals and vision and start my business. He helps me with any and everything I need. Both him and my parents are always there when I need that extra push or pep talk, help fulfill orders and more. The name “JaCo” was a name I created in 6th grade using my moms initials. I wanted to honor her even then. Never knew it would be used for my business. Far as my baby boys, I feel like they are so in tune with their mommy. They always come at the right time and say things like “I’m proud of you mommy” or “Mommy you got this”, always calling me beautiful and they try to help me pack orders and things too. It’s amazing and I’m blessed to have all of them in my corner.
