Meet Nick Blek | Business owner and professional sticker applicator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Blek and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nick, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It started after moving to California to work for a company that specialized in my own field. It was the second time that I came on board and helped grow a business beyond it’s current potential. When promises that were made weren’t kept under my new employment I simply decided that I’d rather risk it for the biscuit than slowly wither away and die under the broken promises of my old employer. I followed through with that lesson and applied it to my business, keep your promises and don’t make promises you can’t keep.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Since I was a child I knew what successful people looked, and acted like. I grew up on a farm that my family rented from extremely wealthy people and learned proper etiquette when catering to these people through dinner parties that I watched from afar as my parents and older siblings worked. The most important thing I learned is to be smarter than the prey you are hunting. Know what their move is before they even make it so that you can anticipate and intercept them to fill their need. In turn it will make their experience one they’ll appreciate through financial compensation. I tended the land since childhood and never really had a time period in my life where I wasn’t working. I remember my first job as a barista, I always showed up on time if not early, kept a clean station and made some seriously good coffee. I loved it and hope to own a coffee shop one day next to the beach when I retire. Since it was my first real job it left a lasting mark on me and I loved doing it because it helped me realize how much my upbringing had prepared me for employment and success. Realizing the customers needs and filling those needs is why my business exists, doing that with pride and a thoughtful mindset is what sets my business apart from others. Plus our quality comes second to none, we really do kick ass in that department!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Vegas! SEMA! Its our super bowl for the Automotive industry where we become the customers for the week and our distributors take good care of us. It’s filled with the opportunity to see new products, go to lavish dinner parties. My all time favorite was right before Covid happened. Xpel, the manufacturer of Paint Protection Film that we use for our client’s vehicles, rented out Speed Vegas! I got to spend time with good people from my industry that come from all over the world and exchange ideas but I also rode in a trophy truck on their dirt track, wild!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It’s hard to pinpoint my success to one single thing and easy at the same time. Many groups and people are owed thanks and recognition to the success of a business. It truly takes a village to grow and nurture a business so that it remains successful. First and foremost however are the people on the ground level. They’re here every day and truly believe in Premier Armor Inc. With out the love and dedication of my team I would still be at square one. Secondly comes our clientele, they’re good people who appreciate good quality work and are willing to pay extra so that it’s done correctly. They know quality always ends up being cheaper in the long run. Finally the support of many others in the Corona area, and my industry. Whether it’s the Corona Chamber of Commerce or our good friend Kraig Strom and Cars Coffee Corona, they are all shouting our name for anyone who needs our services. Finally our industry, we have bad businesses and good like every other industry but I feel what is special about us is that as a majority we are all striving to provide better service to our customers and to help each other grow exponentially in this industry. It’s a comradery that I can lean on during the hard times and celebrate with during the good times.
