We had the good fortune of connecting with Dawn Buchanan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dawn, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Moments.

I have always loved spending time with family and friends. Making memories and sharing stories. These times have always been encircled with food and music. I wanted to make something that when people would get together and have their moments it could be with a good wine. I share my heart in each bottle. I made it to be enjoyed with amazing music, laughter so full that it fills the room, with friends, family and thoughtful conversations.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I mostly want to take the intimation away that sometimes comes with drinking wine. I wanted it to be enjoyed by anyone. Not just because you think you have to have a certain wine with a certain meal, but simply because you enjoy it.
If you take away “the rules” I believe wine is a story that should be shared.
Nothing in life is easy or without some challenges. It’s how you chose to move through them. I made up my mind that I would just take steps, even ones unseen to accomplished what I feel are my ordered steps just for me. My journey has been fun and I will continue to break through barriers that seem to keep wine from it’ s story of natural uncomplicated goodness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is no place like LA! There is so much to see and do always. The beach is my favorte so I would more than likely start there. So many great places to eat, sights to see, next we be Hollywood again for the sights of LA, To be able to see historical places in person I feel is a must when visiting LA. I love to be a tourist in this town sometimes myself. Great places to eat! Watts Coffee House Poppy+Rose or My 2 Cents for a quick breakfast/brunch stop. Fixins Soul Kitchen is a MUST! The food is amazing as well as the vibe. Post and Beam in another great spot I would try to fit in for some bites!
I love good food and conversations. All of these places and locations would make for a great day and views of LA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and for most I have to shout my Heavenly Father. This is possible and succeeding because of His love, grace and mercy for me. I feel it in every step I take. I also have some very close friends that have supported, encouraged and loved me though this entire journey and I am grateful for them and thankful.
