We had the good fortune of connecting with Ra7ael and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ra7ael, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Many people would think that immigrating to another country might be a risky decision to make in your life, but I believe that staying in a country where the culture it’s not very appreciated and still marginalized by a good part of the population would be a bigger risk for me to take. By the way, United States and Germany were the countries that most streamed my songs on the last year and Brazil was not even included in the Top 5.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe that my vocals and music style are very distinctive. It has a big influence with the early 2000’s pop music and it doesn’t follow any kind of trending rules. So I’m very proud by embracing my uniqueness, or weirdness if you might prefer to see it on this way, and for facing a challenge that’s introducing myself as an independent artist in a music industry that’s very competitive even for the local talents.
One of the reasons of why I became an artist it’s because art is a form to reach immortality. The artist might not stay here for too long, but their art will stay. It was never easy and it will never be, but it’s gonna feel quite worth it after reaching this kind of status.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Mostly of my best friends are artists as well. So I would start with a walk on the Walk Of Fame. After that we would head to Beverly Hills to see the locations where they recorded all the famous movies that they might love. And for last I would show them how beautiful is Malibu and the beaches from the Malibu Pier till the Point Dume. For the rest of the week we would be trying every single restaurant in West Hollywood and shopping at The Groove until it gets boring.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ll be always grateful for the tutors that I had through all my life, to my friends that supports my art and my family that won’t stop believing in me. Now spiritually saying: I’m very thankful for all the good energies that protected and guided me till this part of my life.
