We had the good fortune of connecting with Rameez Haq and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rameez, how do you think about risk?
I’ve always considered myself a risk taker in life. A follower of the old saying, no risk no reward, which I apply to everyday life, within reason of course. Taking risks has gotten me to where I am today, and if you look back at every successful person in history, they have taken risks to get to where they are currently. Sure, playing it safe is probably the best way to go and can ensure a steady and happy life but wanting more in life and doing better than I was yesterday has always been my goal. Providing a better future for my family has and will be my number one priority. My wife is more of the non-risk taker, so she definitely keeps me balanced. With starting Just N’ Case, risk definitely played a big part in my decision to launch it. Since there is no other app like it, will it succeed, will it fail, will it become a household name worldwide in terms of personal safety, you never know until you try. I have been blessed with great investors (my siblings) who believed in me and the idea, which is why we are here today.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Just N’ Case is the world’s first personal safety app that allows a user to call for help when they physically can’t reach their phone, I.E., if the phone is in a purse, pocket, backpack, on the ground, etc. They simply yell a pre-selected safety phrase and automatically 5 of their chosen emergency contacts get a text notification alerting them the user needs help along with sending the location of that user. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ahhh, this is a good one because my wife and I love exploring new places. Obviously, one has to check out the world-famous Rodeo Drive. Malibu is always a great destination, but if you don’t mind driving a bit, check out Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, and even Catalina, because you will not be disappointed! There are food options for just about anyone, and by that, I mean you could literally close your eyes, pick something on a map and you more than likely would not be disappointed. Just go out and explore!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for my parents, especially my mom, who worked tirelessly to ensure we had a good life growing up. Her work ethic was like nothing I have ever seen, even to this day. My siblings were like any other growing up, we fought, we argued, but we had each other’s back through thick and thin and always supported one another. More recently throughout the years my wife has been my rock, she always believed in me from the moment we met, and I am beyond lucky for her. Obviously, the motivation now is our amazing son and wanting to provide a stable, secure, and safe future for him.
