We had the good fortune of connecting with Larissa Iwazaki and Giovanni Gambardella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larissa and Giovanni, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

Starting our own business was something we both always dreamed of doing one day, but for a long time it always seemed like it would just be that: a dream. The reason being that, starting a business requires a lot of courage, strength and a positive growth mindset. Our thought process behind opening our own business was actually quite simple and it consisted of 3 main steps.

The first one being the one that really triggered us to want to do it: we were both unhappy and frustrated with our lives. We were so tired of working so many hours everyday for someone else and not getting paid enough to truly live the life and lifestyle we wanted to. It would have been much easier to not take responsibility for our feelings of unhappiness, unfulfillment and frustration, and find millions of excuses and external factors to blame them on. BUT we were both very much aware and conscious that we were the ones in control of our lives and our decisions. We knew that if we really wanted to live a different life and follow our own dreams, we had to make different choices.

The second step of our thought process was acknowledging our burning desire to create something that would positively impact ourselves, the people close to us, our community and the rest of the world. We are both very passionate about personal development, and always believed in the importance of understanding our own inner worlds, in order to heal it, nurture it and experience growth. Having such a strong passion and desire to bring this to the world played a huge role when we were deciding to start our own business. We both knew our jobs would have never allowed us to pursue this inner desire and purpose we felt.

Lastly, the third step was analyzing the risks and deciding if we were both willing to take the risks that come with starting a business, and follow through with it. We knew that once we made that decision, going back or giving up were not options for us. Starting a business is a bold decision, but one we were willing to take, because we strongly believed in our vision, our potential and most importantly: our willingness to go through any bumps with a growth mindset of learning, growing and evolving. In our minds, there was no way this could go wrong, because we believe “mistakes” or “challenges” are really just there to teach us something and help us become smarter, wiser and stronger.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business, Life Vibe Tribe, has the mission of bringing millions of like minded people together in a safe environment where they can consciously evolve, connect and be free to experience the best out of life. Life Vibe Tribe isn’t just a brand, or a business, it is a conscious community of souls who are seeking to live a life of authenticity, alignment, purpose and fulfillment. What sets us apart from others is our authenticity. There are billions of people in the world, and we are extremely happy there are others out there with a similar vision and mission of bringing light, healing and love into the world. But one thing that nobody else has is our own personal authentic touch. We have built our brand based on our own principles, values, and experiences, and everything we do, everyone we work with align with our values and vision. As a business we want to make sure to attract clients who feel aligned with our brand’s authentic messaging, we want genuine and authentic connections and not just sales or big unmeaningful numbers. Getting to where we are today with our business was a journey full of ups and downs, it was not always easy, but it also taught us A LOT. Our biggest challenges however had nothing to do with the business per se but with our own minds, emotions, fears, limiting beliefs and inner critics. Starting a business and running a business isn’t the hard part, if you want it badly enough, you put in the work, you show up, you ask for help when needed, you learn from mentors, you read books and stay consistent, you will eventually succeed. Getting past your own doubts, fears, judgements and working on your mindset, that is the real challenge. However, once you are aware that you are the only one standing in your way, and the only one in control of your success, and you start working on yourself as well as working on your business, you become unstoppable. There is a brilliant quote by Hal Elrod that really describes our biggest lesson through this journey: “Your level of success will rarely exceed your level of personal development, because success is something you attract by the person you become.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

We definitely couldn’t have gotten to where we are today without the love and support of our families. (Iwazaki’s: Mario, Debora & Aline; Gambardella’s: Michele, Carmen, Aldo & Daniel).

A special thank you to Aline Iwazaki, she began her entrepreneurial journey a little earlier than us and was able to help and guide us a lot through our journey.

We also had a lot of guidance from many incredible mentors from the courses and programs we took. Some of our mentors through this journey include: Vishen Lakhiani, Michael B. Beckwith, Jon and Missy Butcher, Marisa Peer and Taci Carvalho.

Lastly, 3 of the many books we have read that impacted us greatly were:

How To Do the Work by Dr. Nicole Lepera

The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest

Atomic Habits by James Clear

The Power of Now by Eckhard Tolle
