We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Accomando and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nancy, how does your business help the community?
One of my main interests and biggest passions in this lifetime is about the concept of unity consciousness and finding ways to unite people, within my community and the world. We and everything on this planet and beyond are all part of the same consciousness, pure energy, and all connected. The work I do now leads people to this realization and so much more!
Each individual I work with is led by their own heightened state of awareness, or superconsciousness, that we are not only all divinely connected but also play a role in one another’s lives, here to learn from one another (from positive or seemingly negative experiences). They leave their session feeling empowered and liberated from their past, feeling more at ease and relief within the body, hopeful for the future and excited to move forward on their path, more anchored in the present, with more confidence, optimism, motivation, creative drive, leading with their heart, more connected to their internal guidance system, choosing now to reframe how they view the world and the lessons of all the experiences they have gone through and may continue to go through.
We are all ONE. We are waves of one ocean, individually experiencing aspects of the whole, connected by Source, also known as “the collective consciousness”.
When a client I work with accepts all things happen for FOR US not TO US, they begin to see from a new vantage point and a place of allowance, and begin to SHIFT and see the lesson from every encounter or experience and are finally able to release stuck energy, unprocessed emotions and old belief systems held within the body, that may have been causing symptoms of imbalance or keeping them blocked from living the best version of life possible!
The processes I take clients through allow them to heal themselves from emotional wounds from their past, inspire them to help others heal, gain more respect for the process we call life, for themselves, for others, for their journey overall (including EVERY moment leading up to now). When we achieve all of this it impacts everyone and everything as a whole in a positive way, including our ancestors. We become an example to others that there is another way of living and approaching all that we encounter, which is known as an “emergent consciousness”or “an evolution of awareness”, within the local community and around the world!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a certified practitioner of Past Life Regression & Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT), in addition to a Shamanic practice known as Soul Retrieval or Soul Reintegration.
I am a guiding light and a catalyst for change, providing support around any areas of life a person is ready to shift. The major key element in what I practice is a persons readiness and willingness to take action on all that comes up through them within a session.
All the answers to ALL questions are within us and part of the collective consciousness, also known as our Higher Self or our internal guidance system, we are always tapped into.
Many have trouble connecting to or discerning what our internal guidance system is telling us, or the clarity we need around any given situation, and need someone to help remind us of this power we all have within and how to access it easily.
Many have emotional ties to negative experiences from the past, consciously or unconsciously. Sometimes people have too much pain, stress or rage around past trauma and need support to work through unprocessed emotions which are stuck in the body.
This is where I come in, to shine a light on ones path, reminding clients they are always connected to Source and all information, I show them how to connect easily to this aspect of Self on a daily basis and how to bring clarity and a new perspective to all negative experiences from their past which they may still be holding onto.
My Past Life Regression & QHHT sessions are in person, 1-on-1, and last between 5 to 6 hours. This in depth process consists of about a 2-3 hour Pre-talk, followed by 2-3 hours of hypnosis, with a post hypnosis talk at the end for about 20 minutes to fully anchor all that was brought to light. Clients usually only need one session to cover many areas of life they are concerned with and to then use the information that comes through them during hypnosis to make ultimate changes for the better.
The Shamanic work, Soul Retrieval or Soul Reintegration, is something I am completing certification in currently and I am very excited about this process. When people experience what’s known as Soul Loss or Soul Fragmentation, an intelligent aspect of their awareness gets stuck in a timeline from a traumatic experience. I am able to work 1-on-1, either by phone or face to face, and help clients work through one specific issue in much less time than a QHHT session, between 35 to 45 minutes.
Both processes are powerful tools to help people get to the origins and root cause of patterns, habits and unprocessed emotions, see the experience from a new vantage point and release the negative emotional tie they have been holding onto within the body for far too long.
There are many amazing modalities that help people with issues they have faced or are currently battling with on a physical or mental level. What I have honed in on are two techniques that efficiently and effectively help a person achieve utmost clarity and insight about life experiences, by getting to the root of problems, what’s holding them back in any area, understand repeating patterns or habits, and seeing them from a new perspective, processing and releasing stuck emotions, gain relief and access guidance and insights on what, if anything, they need to do or what to add or take out of their life for overall wellbeing. Within one session of QHHT specifically, I have been told it was better than 5-7 years of talk therapy. And the shamanic work allows people with less time or less need to hone in on one thing at present that needs to be addressed.
Doing this work is extremely fulfilling. I have always been the fixer for people, friends, family. I have always had a passion for helping people discover what may be blocking their light. Through the work I do now, I have finally found a way to make it a business that does not feel like”work”, to earn a living by holding space for as many people who are ready to live life to the fullest, by guiding those who are ready for change, and reminding them how to access the answers they have always had within.
I always wanted to make an impact on the world in a positive way. I have always been interested in both art, film, alternative and holistic health and finding a way to meld all of these together.
In college, along with other creative studies, psychology and holistic health, I learned how to make documentaries, and thought this was going to be the main way I would connect with the world, illuminating the hearts of many around the world…
After college things took an unexpected turn and I decided to move from Upstate New York to Los Angeles in 2005 to get to know my fathers side of the family, who live up and down the California coast…I worked within production of film and tv for about 10 years and eventually worked with an inspiring individual who had a global positive impact on people with his in-person events and YouTube videos. Although I was inspired to work with him I had a deep calling to one day be just as inspirational as him and reach people on the same level, but I was not ready to step into this role for another 7 years…
Fast forward to 2020, I was between jobs at the beginning of the pandemic and stressed out from not getting any call backs for the work I was applying for. I was invited to be a part of a process my friend developed called the 90-day Shift System, and it changed the course of my entire business career. I was encouraged to shift my focus around looking for work I knew I could do, with all the experience I had on my resume. Putting my ego aside, I started to ask myself, “What am I LONGING for in life?” This longing comes from the heart, and what my heart expressed was to be of service to others in a way that lights me up on all levels. I thought about what my natural gifts and abilities are, and I got honest with myself about what I love doing, whether I get paid to do it or not. I started to think about my highest excitement at the time, which had been an ongoing interest for over a decade at that point, regarding Dolores Cannon and her work facilitating Past Life Regression and Quantum Healing Hypnosis, and how her technique helped people on so many levels. There is a never-ending flow of information on YouTube and from the books she has written about her work and I was completely hooked in but never entertained becoming a practitioner of this myself. When I started to look into what it would take to become a QHHT practitioner it turned out to be more feasible for me than any other modality I had looked into prior. And when I listened to her speak about different aspects of being a facilitator of this technique, especially the type of personality that would be a great fit to do this work, I could feel my body respond and light up, I fully resinated on all levels with this.
I used to have a negative belief about not having enough time or money to pursue a business to help others as a practitioner myself to any degree. But now I see I was divinely guided at the perfect time to finally step into the role of a lifetime…
When I first got clear on the idea of becoming a practitioner I had to then face what fears have been holding me back for far too many years. When I asked myself, “what if I never even tried to pursue this dream, and how would that make me feel?”, I realized I would always wonder and would ultimately never know if I never tried….and that made me motivated to push past my fears and doubts and finally take the leap!
A MAJOR KEY I learned was, although I was a little scared of the unknowns around this career move, when you take the time to ask yourself what you actually long for in life, make that a priority, and push past the fear or the unknown, on the other side of that is pure potential for great things to unfold! I also started to pay more attention than ever to the signs and synchronicities that were showing up that guided me to this point of my life and decided to trust the process FULLY. Once I started on the journey to become certified as a practitioner, the path I was on started to present all kinds of support to encourage me to keep going. At this point I have also been able to have 4 QHHT sessions and some of the shamanic work done on myself by fellow practitioners and it all has helped me grow leaps and bounds, freed me from my past emotional wounds, and allowed me create space within to gain momentum following my hearts longing, and to shine brighter than ever before!
With every client I meet I am reminded why I do this work and how grateful I am for taking the time to listen to my inner knowing, what my heart and soul felt called to do. And with every day that goes by I am excited to be an inspiration to others who are also seeking their hearts calling, to release their past emotional wounds, creating space within to make room for SO MUCH more joy, love, harmony and bliss they desire and deserve!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
What I love, love, LOVE about Los Angeles and the surrounding areas is the melting pot of art, culture, people, great food, great music and places in nature to visit and explore…and more!
I have been living here since 2005 and so many things have shifted since the pandemic, especially around the art scene, but there are still many art shows to check out, museums, gallery exhibits and art walks. In Downtown L.A there are many galleries to check out, and food trucks and bars to stop at in between seeing inspirational work. My first stop would be one of my favorite art galleries, The Hive Gallery on Spring Street. While considering places to check out art, there are places like the Broad Museum and MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art). As for other areas for art, headed away from Downtown, on Hollywood Blvd, is one of favorite eclectic store and art galleries, “Wacko – “La Luz de Jesus Gallery”! Around midtown on Wilshire Blvd is LACMA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art. If time allows it, I also would suggest a stroll next door to LACMA, through the La Brea Tar Pitts, an active paleontological research site. It was formed around a group of tar pits where natural asphalt has seeped up from the ground for tens of thousands of years. Over many centuries, the bones of trapped animals have been preserved. Again, the kid in me loves going there and bringing a picnic lunch!
There is always something going on at night in L.A…Check out an amazing view at a rooftop bar in Downtown like Skybar…or an outdoor concert at the Greek Theater or the Hollywood Bowl! I also love a small live music venue in West Hollywood called “Troubadour”, one of the best rock clubs by Rolling Stone!
There are so many places to hike and explore in nature but to name a few, I love Griffith Park, many trails to take during the day, and they also offer a monthly 2 hour Moonlight Hike, on Saturday’s close to the full moon. A group meets by 6:45 p.m. in the ‘Upper Merry-Go-Round parking lot’. Nearby that park area is a hike to the Hollywood sign (gotta fit in a little touristy stuff for first-timers here). And also around there is Griffith Park Observatory, where you can hike during the day, check out the observatory itself, maybe bring a picnic and watch the sunset from the facility there! I also love heading to the west side of town, to Venice Beach, walking the boardwalk, people watching, checking out the shops and local art vendors selling weird and interesting things, dipping my toes in the water and checking out Santa Monica Pier & Beach nearby! You can also rent bikes or roller skate(bring your own) and go up and down from both of these locations and stop at the many places all over for a quick bite to eat or a drink. My favorite place to eat near Santa Monica Pier & Beach is a Carribean spot called Cha Cha Chicken, you can bring your own drinks there too! Further up the coast, towards Malibu, there is another short hike up a hill with an amazing view at the top, and a labyrinth you can walk through! Labyrinths are used world-wide as a way to quiet the mind, calm anxieties, recover balance in life, enhance creativity and encourage meditation, insight, self-reflection and stress reduction. It’s located in Tuna Canyon Park, in Topanga (in the Santa Monica Mountains). This is one of my favorite spots and does not get over crowded. A very peaceful place indeed.
For those who have never been to L.A you also gotta check out some comedy at one of the famous places on the Sunset Blvd…I would check out either The Laugh Factory or The Comedy Store! If ya get hungry after the show there’s the classic Carney’s Restaurant, the actual restaurant is a yellow Union Pacific rail car….it’s just burgers and hotdogs but the kid in me loves it!
One of my all time favorite L.A ‘Eats’ is Korean BBQ, “All You Can Eat” that is, and the BEST quality and best price for what you get, is a place below Hollywood in Koreatown called “Hae Jang Chon Korean BBQ Restaurant” – If you want to avoid the long hour or more wait to get in arrive before 6pm any day of the week! You’re welcome!
Craving something sweet? I would take you to an awesome famous homemade ice cream shop called “Salt & Straw”, located both near Venice Beach on Abbot Kinney Blvd (also a great walkable area), and in Studio City on Ventura Blvd (in the ‘Valley’ of L.A, also great for window shopping and people watching). The owners care about the community, sourcing from local farmers and grass fed and hormone free dairy…their creative and innovative flavors are A-Mazing! You will want to make time to visit this place more than once!
A visit to Los Angeles would not be complete without checking out a Sound Bath experience! My FAVORITE to check out is a “Shakti Sound Bath: Ana Netanel” – Ana is AWESOME and she and her team facilitate many of these experiences around L.A and one place I LOVE in Malibu at an outdoor location with a breathtaking view!
Have you ever tried Float Therapy? No? Let’s Go! This is also known as a Sensory Deprivation Tank experience, where you float in about 10inches of buoyant salt water, close to the temperature of our body, for a couple of hours in the dark by yourself and it has SO many positive benefits….It’s like a tranquil, womb-like, meditation experience. I highly recommend one run by Float Lab – they have 2 locations, Venice Beach and Westwood!
And finally, there are so many old historic places that are still up and running, thankfully….One is called Highland Park Bowl, around East L.A. It originally opened in 1927 and has two bar areas and of course bowling…I just love the old historic feel to the place, very fun and unique spot for sure! And another favorite place over in Downtown L.A, called “Clifton’s Republic” – This place opened in 1935 as Clifton’s Brookdale, Clifton’s Cafeteria….it has an old and eerie, yet playful vibe, part restaurant, part cafeteria – filled with everything from bison and lion dioramas to huge fake trees to hidden chapels. There is an upstairs tiki bar/speakeasy and another room where people play live music and room for dancing!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am SO grateful for all those who have inspired me to do this work, that which fulfills my heart and soul… I owe this shoutout to several amazing women….a few of them are: 1) my Mother and best friend, Nancy, who has inspired me since I was a child to dive deep into the exploration and unending curiosity around holistic health and wellness, which simultaneously addresses all aspects of our physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health! Thank you Ma! 2) Dolores Cannon, who was the pioneer of the QHHT practice I facilitate, I am forever grateful. 3) Lorna Wilson, a mentor of mine and teacher of the Shamanic work I practice (who was also trained in QHHT by Dolores Cannon years ago), I am eternally grateful for you. 4) Anna Francesca Celestino, creator of a 90-day course called “The Shift System”, which helped me get clear about my hearts longing during the pandemic, helped me move past my fears and doubts about becoming a practitioner, and ultimately helped me manifest my mantra, “I get paid to be me” ~ THANK YOU!
