Meet Reshma Sondagar | Artist & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Reshma Sondagar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Reshma, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
This is a fitting question because my work is focused on helping families document and preserve their memories & legacy. I specifically work with clients who not only value documenting their moments in this life but those who value preserving their legacy through tangible artwork. We live in an era where we are constantly capturing every moment, with the focus being on quantity over quality, but how many of those moments and memories are making their way off the digital world and in a format that will be able to be appreciated later in life or for the next generation?
As for me and my legacy, I want to be remembered for my determination and the risks I took both in my personal life and my career. I want to be remembered for my passion with my creativity as well as my desire to live life to the fullest, travel the world and enjoy as much time with my children as possible.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a commissioned artist & designer specializing in maternity, newborn, motherhood and family portraits.
I help my clients tell their story and preserve them with handcrafted family keepsakes. I walk them through an in-depth experience that is tailored to each families needs. I offer luxury artwork, archival quality and most importantly a personal service.
As a mother of two young children, I know how important it is that I provide my children with tangible memories to look back on for generations to come. I am based in Southern California and travel to a handful of destination clients a year, including internationally.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend we’re visiting me, our trip would involve some beach time, great food, drinks and lots of catching up since life is so busy these days and its rare to get some good quality time with friends. I usually take my out of town friends to Laguna Beach or San Clemente , if there was enough time a drive to Joshua Tree or Palm Springs is always refreshing and a great change of scenery but that would depend on what time of the year they were visiting.
