Meet ChrisCVine | Musican

We had the good fortune of connecting with ChrisCVine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi ChrisCVine, how do you think about risk?
I believe it is essential to take risks in life. You’ll never know what you’re capable of if you’re too comfortable and don’t take risks. Risks can be nerve wrecking. They can include you getting out of the house on a day of bad anxiety. They can also include financial and important life decisions. Every risk you take is a learning experience. You never know, sometimes a risk can work out for the better and if it does then great but no matter what you still learned something and now have new information to apply to your future. If you’re comfortable where you are but also aware that you’re capable of so much more then it is important to take risks. Putting yourself in uncomfortable and new situations to you might just be the thing to get you going.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art/music is mine. My music is so personal to me and each song represents points in my life both through the lyrics and sound. I wouldn’t have gotten here if it wasn’t for that. I needed a way to release my energy during a rough patch in my life so I took my lifelong passion of music and put it to use. It most definitely was not easy to become the artist I am today. It took a lot of risks, bad judgement, sleepless nights, and so much learning to do to become the person and artist I am today but everyday continues to be a learning experience for the future. This has all worked out to make me really proud of my work specifically my more recent songs such as “It Is Okay” & “A-List” because they really came from the heart and highlighted significant improvement from my previous work. My music is special to me because I’ve always stayed true to who I am lyrically with minor exceptions of just having fun and because of that I am able to listen to my songs and put myself where I was in that moment . It’s like growing up with a journal. I get to reflect and learn and it helps me grow as an artist and person. I hope through my stories and music I can continue to inspire and motive others to live their life to the fullest extent and just be creative. There is no certain way were forced to live. Pick up those hobbies, read books, watch videos and learn. There’s so many possibilities to explore and it might allow you to experience things you never thought you would. Open those doors!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Most of my favorite places in LA are restaurants and food trucks. If I had to take a friend around LA for the first time I would definitely have to start by showing them In N Out obviously (if they’ve never been). I’d suggest to spend some time down on Melrose and Fairfax possibly if they want to check out the grove. Not my everyday spot but I do enjoy the Farmers Market. Around dinner time I’m at Bossa Nova on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. It’s tempting but I’d suggest saving some room to get some rolled ice cream on Melrose at Holy Roly Ice Cream. It would probably be around sunset by that time and my favorite spot to go is Lake Hollywood Park. That is by far my favorite sunset spot I have yet to see. I love hanging out there and breathing in the air, With the perfect weather, it doesn’t get much better than that. When it gets dark they definitely have to see Hollywood Blvd. After a night out on the Blvd, there is nothing that cures late night hunger like the Behibachi truck. That might be my favorite spot in LA. Some other places I would recommend in the Hollywood area is the Beachwood Cafe, their breakfast is really good and the atmosphere is relaxing. Nice starting point before taking a hike up to the Hollywood Sign.. I also love going to Malibu when I get the time, Malibu is most definitely one of my other favorite sunset spots in the area. I can go on forever but my choices may not be for everyone but that’s what makes LA so wonderful is that there is something for everyone regardless.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout definitely goes to my parents. They have been so supportive in the decisions I’ve made with my career choice and have believed in me since the start. They are who I do this for because I want to be able to give back for everything they’ve done and continue to do for me. I am super blessed to have them as my #1 fans.
