Meet Lauren Robuck | CEO & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Robuck and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, why did you pursue a creative career?
I love my brand like its my baby. I truly have put my heart and soul into this brand since day one making necklaces at my kitchen table. I worked for several years in the fashion industry and knew I wanted to launch my own line. I was full of experiences and was able to apply several lessons that helped me launch. I am an extremely creative person and having my own brand enables me to use that power on a daily basis. Being in person at my pop ups or even designing in my warehouse, I’m in my element daily and to me there’s nothing more I’d want in a job.

What should our readers know about your business?
I think my business is incredibly unique because my team and I sell my line at in-person pop ups about 5 times a week. We cater to different neighborhoods in Los Angeles giving you an in person styling experience and allowing you try everything in person before you buy. For me this creates an opportunity to build a relationship with my customers. I truly care about each and every one of them so being able to see them on a weekly basis and seeing how much they love the line makes for an incredible weekend.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Considering I am originally from Los Angeles as are most of my friends, I would take them to all of our favorite spots! Growing up in the Hollywood area, every Sunday I would go to the local deli (Canters) followed by a little trip to the MELROSE PLACE Farmers market for some fresh flowers and the best salsa and chips in town. For lunch I would head over to the Grove and visit the Farmers market section where there are several options including one of my favorite spots to grab oysters! For the evening portion I’d head on over to the Melrose rooftop theater over at E.P & L.P and grab a drink followed by an outdoor movie!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My story has been inspired by so many amazing mentors throughout my life. From my amazing friends who owned their own brands and paved the way for me, to my Mom who has inspired me since birth and is the owner of an incredible antique store and estate sale business. I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and I am deeply grateful I was surrounded by such motivating and hard working parents and family. I am also so grateful to all of my past bosses, throughout the years I have taken bits and pieces of advice from each of them and now apply it as a boss in my own business.
