Meet Cody Catrin | Sidereal Astrologer and Energetic Alchemist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody Catrin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cody, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I believe the term “business” and the way in which humans support themselves is shifting in a big way as we as a collective start to access more of our personal magnetism though healing the heart space and accessing personal passions as fuel. I started out as an artist, musician and apparel designer but the fact that I wound up making a career out of helping people was divinely guided and I had a lot of resistance at first. Most of my bosses and bandmates were in a lot of pain and the general intensity and lack of compassion embedded within the daily aspects of hustle culture ultimately had me working double time to try and heal my nervous system. My idea for a business started with intuitive visions and dreams eventually evolved into a culmination of all of my interests and passions merging into a multidimensional tool kit to share with others. Since I was 14, I studied Astrology, using it to try and understand deeper aspects of myself when therapy and prescription medication just wasn’t cutting it however I never thought I would be in a career. In 2007 I got a psychic reading that said I would be a healer and I was not very open to it at the time. Flash forward to New York in 2012 I became flooded with psychic visions that told me one day I would be helping others to uncover their own unique healing power by first working to uncover my own. It was then I began a more holistic lifestyle and began to astral travel and meditate to verify old teachings and spiritual concepts for myself. This began the journey of planting seeds that would eventually grow my business. I knew I wanted to help people but things didn’t become clear until around 2014 when I began making meditative and hypnotic music and realizing I had a knack for sending people into relaxation. I started out doing one on one reiki, guided meditations and tarot readings in 2015 and started my business in 2016 after the demand for my services organically grew. I always offered astrology as part of the first introductory session to ground in and verify my intuition and to show people a scientifically variable tool. It wasn’t until 2018 that I started getting more requests for my specific style of astrology that is based in intuition which led me to expanding my business full time and focusing a large portion specifically on drawing Astrological charts. Then in 2020 I was guided by one of my spirit guides to base the astrological zodiac off of Astronomy and the position of the star systems known as sidereal (similar calculation to Vedic). My online business and Astrology school grew a lot during this time due to many people looking into strengthening their personal self awareness and intuitive abilities. Today I keep receiving and flowing with the intuitive hits and am doing retreats, online mystery school and 1 on 1 coaching as well as in person energy alchemy healing sessions. All of my ideas come from the astral plane and take years before they flourish taking time in the mud and the gunk to gestate before blossoming into the abundant lotus energy and star power that drives my business today.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to think of myself as a multidimensional expression of heart; weaving astrology, my intuitive gifts, my voice, and sound design into an illuminating ball of healing energy. I pair the music of the stars with the cosmic knowledge that Astrology provides. I, like many people, from a young age felt like something was wrong with me or that I was just not cut out for the life school was preaching to me. I felt possessed and very low as a child like I would never be normal like the others who seemed to find joy in things that made me cry. In New York (2010) I was kicked out of a band for having conflicting ideas /believing in Aliens and wanting to make a sound like Enya, and it catapulted me into a spiritual awakening that resulted in me making music on vintage Casios that sounded like everything was underwater and using lots of vocal effects that expressed more of my inner world that I could hear in my dreams. It wasn’t until I discovered music, dance and the dream realms that I started to escape into the mystical depths of my mermaid healing haven. I was never able to just pick one thing in life and was determined to find a way to bridge healing and art to keep service and play a part of my work/ offerings to the world. Learning about astrology, ancient mysteries, and the occult over the past 20 years has shaped the way I approach life and has led me to believe that all art forms are expressing a facet of the higher self nestled in the “otherworlds” often hidden from conscious awareness. I compose and vocalize what is going on in those realms and will often find that my musical channeling will assist me to solve a major puzzle in my own life and the lives of those around me. The planets and stars vibrate different frequencies that can be placed in a musical scale to give a voice to the interstellar language we use to better understand ourselves bridging the right and left sides of the brain. I am what is referred to as a “sidereal” astrologer which means to follow the stars and is based on where the constellations are astronomically. I use my psychic abilities and practical star software to assist people to awaken and discover their divine blue print and to plan their life in accordance to their “8 pointed star” corresponding to the planets, chakras and the main themes in life found in the 12 houses. I use custom solfeggio tones to soothe and heal the body as well as layers of etheric and astral energy to promote health and restoration in accordance with stargates and astrological phenomena. A Stargate occurs whenever a star conjoins within a degree of the sun or planet, amplifying its frequencies and transmuting them to earth. This work brings me great pleasure and joy and there is truly nothing I would rather be doing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I could pick my ideal day in Los Angeles it would definitely start with yoga at kinship yoga and a hike through the waterfalls. I would then pick up a blue pearl smoothie from Erewhon or a snack from Honey Hi and then head to the flower district to put together a bouquet. I would then make a pit stop at wisdom LA to receive a surround sound bath tune up and hop over to Malibu for some oysters and mermaid beach time. Dinner would definitely be Omakaze from sushi Sasabune followed by dancing under the stars to the tune of a local musician.

I would like to shout out the author Whitley Streiber for writing his epic book called communion which scared most everyone but opened a portal to his colleagues’ work Barbra Hand Clow, who bridged the gap between Astrology and the paranormal and gave me courage to go deep into my studies and visions. I would also like to shout out Kate Bush and Enya for gently guiding my research on ancient healing topics in a way that soothed and supported my dreams.
