Meet Monica Le Baron | Sleep Queen

We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Le Baron and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, is there something you believe many others might not?
Drink melatonin to get a good night’s rest.
Melatonin is a hormone that signals to your body that it is time for bed. It will not support a good night’s rest or not put you to sleep. To naturally create this hormone, get exposed to the morning sunshine by walking (without sunglasses) or standing outside.
Melatonin can be helpful when you travel to adapt easier to time changes and reduce jetlag effects.
To get a good night’s rest, I recommend listening to a yoga Nidra audio before bed to finish the stress cycle and autoregulate your nervous system.
Buenas noches!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a sleep coach and certified yoga therapist who specializes in helping women with sleep struggles get a good night’s rest.
Using my signature program, Sleep Simplified, I have helped hundreds of clients overcome insomnia, sleep deprivation, and anxiety. After just one session, my clients have been able to get two extra hours of restful sleep, wake up fewer times in the middle of the night, and fall asleep within minutes of their heads hitting the pillow.
What I’m most proud is that I used my journey from corporate burnout and dealing with anxiety, insomnia and depression to develop simple yet effective practices that are now helping hundreds of women finish the stress cycle, reset their nervous system and live a happy life.
My calming presence and the simplicity of my coaching program is what sets me apart from other yoga therapist and sleep coaches. My tools are so simple that people are skeptical at the beginning, and once they try them, they are excited to use them in their daily life.
And when clients put their 50%, their sleep quality boosts in no time. And the best part is that they get to use the tools forever and not have to depend on me so they can have life-changing results.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day one will be a bit packed: Starting at Union Station for a free tour downtown in the morning. Afterward, have lunch at Manuela. Then walk around the Walt Disney Concert Hall and take photos before heading for dessert at Pie Hole. And end the night with drinks at Perch and enjoy the view.
I like to keep a flexible agenda when I travel, so the rest of the days, I would start with a morning yoga class at any of the beautiful beaches and pick one of the following activities to explore and a place to eat:
Activities: Public art “Levitated Mass,” Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Santa Monica Beach.
Restaurants: Forage, Bacari Silverlake + Bar Bacari, and Madera Kitchen.
Enjoy!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to acknowledge my mentor, Lee Albert, NMT, for creating effective, pain-free living techniques. His Positional Therapy teachings have helped me to create safe yoga classes and private sessions for my clients to reduce pain, prevent injuries and get a good night’s sleep. As well as to use the techniques myself to reduce my knee pain caused by playing college basketball, hiking, and practicing the wrong type of yoga for my body.
I’m so grateful for your mentorship and friendship.
Thank you, Lee!
