We had the good fortune of connecting with Penelope Dizad and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Penelope, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?

We usually define and measure success based on someone’s degree, social circle, financial standing, etc. but I think true success is in the process and it starts by finding your path in life and being able to walk a journey that gives you a sense of purpose, fulfillment, and joy. It’s essentially when you find a vision for your life with an end goal that you can work towards every day. Once you have that figured out in any area of your life, you have truly taken the first step at success and you will just continue to succeed and will naturally reach many milestones that accessorize the journey and are certainly worth celebrating.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Well we are concert organizers, and the core of our business is creating memorable moments for others and I find that so special and meaningful. Just being able to help people disconnect from the craziness of life for a few hours to just live in the moment and have fun with their favorite band or artist, is really the pinnacle of our work for our entire team. Same thing for the acts, I truly enjoy creating an environment for our artists to connect with their fans and tap into their creative side on the stage. It’s truly where magic happens. We usually spend several months, sometimes up to a year preparing for a show and as with any business that preparation stage has a lot of ups and downs and challenges but the show-day feeling is so good that makes it all worth it.

What sets us apart is really the spirit of our team and the energy that we bring to the table. We are a team of young creatives and entrepreneurs in an industry that has traditionally been dominated by mature and often old school business gurus so the energy that we bring is usually a lot more laid back and fun. We also all come from different branches of entertainment so what each person brings to the team is pretty different and specific to their background, and that gives us the perfect creative combination to keep our work authentic, upbeat, and unique.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Los Angeles is a dynamic city with countless attractions and activities so there are a ton of options and things to do but a few must sees would be:

-Griffith Observatory for stunning views of the city and the Hollywood Sign
-Getty Center
-Santa Monica Pier
-Third Street Promenade for shopping and entertainment.
-A little bit of nightlife in West Hollywood, with options for live music, comedy shows, and trendy bars.
-Hollywood Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre, and the Dolby Theatre.
-And cherry on top catch a live performance at Hollywood Bowl

-Also, MUST take a scenic drive along the PCH! And definitely make a stop at Malibu Seafood.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I try to utilize the internet as much as I can because there is such abundance of information and content out there today, it makes it so easy to study other professionals and learn from the best in the game. People that you look up to but have never seen or spoken to directly can become mentors and guide you through the way in pretty much any area of your life from business to family, spirituality, etc. That said, my support system is summed up in my team that I’m lucky to work with every day, my wonderful family especially my uncle Kami who has been my rock, even more so within the last decade by giving me wonderful life and business advice and supporting me in every way possible, and my dear friend Negar Ashtari who is an amazing life coach and is my go to person when I need to center myself and clarify my purpose on an internal level. I truly feel lucky to have such an amazing support system.
