We had the good fortune of connecting with Noah Pinnt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noah, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
One of the most challenging decisions I ever faced was leaving a stable job with a steady income to follow my passion for editing and filmmaking. Throughout my life, I’ve constantly sought opportunities to turn my passions into a means of livelihood, but as a filmmaker, this endeavor posed considerable difficulties. I soon realized that achieving success in this field required immense time, effort, and personal sacrifices.

Despite the challenges, I mustered the courage to resign from my job and wholeheartedly pursue my dreams. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on my side initially, as I struggled to find suitable opportunities. However, during the pandemic, I took a leap of faith and decided to pitch out a demo reel that I had meticulously crafted. Surprisingly, this led me to secure a job at a reputable post-production house.

Working in that environment proved to be an invaluable experience, as I not only acquired essential industry knowledge but also developed crucial skills that I now employ in my own film projects regularly. This journey has taught me the importance of perseverance, dedication, and taking risks in the pursuit of one’s true passions.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My primary profession revolves around post-production video editing, where I passionately work on a variety of projects, including documentaries, short films, trailers, and promotional content. What brings me immense joy is the ability to take my clients’ ideas and transform them into captivating stories through the art of editing.

Apart from being an editor, I’m also deeply involved in directing horror short films. Currently, I’m building up my horror series, “The Horror Stories on 23rd Street,” which delves into the chilling realm of the unknown, exploring true terrors that send shivers down your spine.

Additionally, I have the opportunity to collaborate with a production company called “Zero Logic Productions” as a camera operator. Working with this creative team allows me to be part of the creation of hilarious comedy shorts and thrilling action films, which I find incredibly rewarding and exciting.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I enjoy going to theme parks such as universal studios and Disneyland.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my family, friends, and loved ones for standing by my side and believing in my dream of becoming a filmmaker. Your unwavering support, patience, and willingness to listen to my ideas have meant the world to me throughout this journey.

I am incredibly thankful for the countless hours you’ve volunteered to be on set, whether as actors or crew members, and for your dedication during those sometimes chaotic editing sessions. Your involvement and contributions have been vital in bringing these stories to life, and I genuinely couldn’t have achieved this without each and every one of you.

Your belief in my vision and your selfless assistance have motivated and inspired me to keep pushing forward, even during the most challenging times. I am blessed to have such amazing individuals in my life, and I’ll forever cherish the memories we’ve created together on this filmmaking adventure. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.
