We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Naomi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to share my experiences throughout my wellness journey and create safe spaces for people to connect doing things that resonate. I’ve been in my wellness practice for a few years and the most anchoring part was being in community with other people and learning through their experience. Post pandemic my habits had changed and I really enjoyed doing wellness activités such as yoga. Connecting with people after class was different due to cultural shifts and apprehension from Covid. GloFlow was a safe space to do that and cultivate genuine friendship among likeminded people.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Digital content creation started as a hobby and became something I used in my business. When you play back a yoga sequence you can see the music and flow through movement like a symphony. I started watching the flows during my practice teaching sessions and began editing them to form digital art. Wellness began very early on for me. I’ve always loved mentorship and found peace through yoga at a young age. I started teaching for fun then took it on more seriously as I began to feel more called to it. I started going to different medspas and gyms as a hobby and began recommending places during my 1:1 sessions with clients. My 1:1 yoga sessions are a form of full body alignment. The personal session begin with breath work and a mental check in to see what is ailing my clients then we work through the physical and energetic issues until the tension is calmed or the body is restored. In my practice I’ve found that everything is connected and can be eased through focus and intention. I started in corporate offering wellness chats and seated yoga and moved to group sessions, curating wellness events and personalized sessions. Everything about working with people and aligning with wellness has truly resonated and I am so grateful to share this journey with all of those I reach.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my best friend hiking to the waterfalls, for drinks at Mrs. Fish and then explore a night market.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out Elizabeth Ho. She reached out and asked to photograph GloFlow in July and created the most beautiful photos and even took headshots for the guests. I sincerely thank Elizabeth for the work, and beautiful art she created. Elizabeth is a phenomenal photographer that saw GloFlow with a tripod and took it to the next level. I am beyond grateful and cannot wait to see how Elizabeth continues in her business. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey Elizabeth!
