Hi Yurii, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
My background and upbringing, which includes being born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, have had a significant influence on who I am today. Growing up in Ukraine, I gained a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a global perspective. My Ukrainian heritage and cultural experiences have shaped my identity. My ten-year stint in the travel industry, during which I ran my own travel company, has played a pivotal role in my development. This experience has equipped me with valuable skills in customer service and a dedication to providing high-quality service. The travel and real estate industries share common ground in terms of customer service, as both involve assisting clients and ensuring their satisfaction. This commonality contributed to my seamless transition from travel to real estate. My move to California, specifically Los Angeles, three years ago marks a significant chapter in my life. Los Angeles is a diverse, fast-paced city with a thriving real estate market. This change has broadened my horizons, introduced me to new perspectives, and pushed me to adapt to a different cultural environment.My ability to embrace this change is a testament to my flexibility and openness to new experiences. My background and upbringing in Kyiv, Ukraine, my experience in the travel industry, and my current career in real estate in Los Angeles collectively influence my identity. My Ukrainian heritage, coupled with my passion for customer service and adaptability, have helped shape me into a professional who is well-equipped to excel in the diverse and demanding world of real estate in California.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey from the travel business to the real estate industry has been a challenging yet rewarding one. What sets me apart from others in this transition is my unwavering belief that “everything is possible.” While there are commonalities between these two industries, the move from Europe to the United States, specifically to Los Angeles, brought with it a host of new standards and nuances. It wasn’t an easy transition, but it was one that I welcomed with open arms. I refused to be deterred by the unfamiliar and was willing to take calculated risks, understanding that “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” The most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey is that it’s crucial to embrace change and step out of your comfort zone. The real estate industry, in particular, is known for its fast-paced and ever-evolving nature. However, I’ve found that being open to new knowledge and seizing opportunities has allowed me to adapt and in this dynamic environment. Today, I find myself working as a realtor in the iconic Beverly Hills, surrounded by a fantastic team of successful professionals in Keller Williams Beverly Hills, which is one of the most successful companies not only in the United States, but in the world and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I’m excited about the continuous growth and learning that this industry offers. I want the world to know that my brand and story are defined by a commitment to overcoming challenges, seizing opportunities, and always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. My story is one of transformation and growth, driven by the belief that taking risks and staying open to learning can lead you can achieve your dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When it comes to showing my friends the best time in Los Angeles and California, I’m truly excited about the endless possibilities that this unique region has to offer. As a former travel agent with an unwavering passion for exploration, I understand the allure of uncovering hidden gems that aren’t always found in travel guides. While iconic destinations like the Hollywood Sign, Beverly Hills (Rodeo Drive), Hollywood Walk of Fame, Sunset Blvd, Mulholland Drive, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Griffith Park Observatory, Universal Studios Hollywood, Runyon Canyon, The Getty Center, are must-see attractions, it’s the lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path places and experiences that add an extra layer of magic to a trip. From the ability to spend a day lounging on the beach by the ocean and then venture into the desert or mountains for skiing within just a few hours, California’s diverse landscapes are a playground for adventure. And it’s the unique, secret, and hidden spots that my best friends have introduced me to that make each visit truly exceptional. In addition to the well-known destinations, I’d eagerly recommend exploring the charming Danish-inspired town of Solvang, indulging in wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley, embarking on a breathtaking drive along the Big Sur coast, and discovering the stunning coastal beauty of Palos Verdes and Point Dume. There’s also the serene and artistic ambiance of Carmel by the Sea and the vibrant atmosphere of Laguna Beach, all of which contribute to the kaleidoscope of experiences that California has to offer. California’s allure lies not only in its renowned attractions but also in the hidden treasures and lesser-explored corners that continue to enchant visitors.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my parents, who have been a constant source of support, love, and encouragement throughout my life. Their unwavering belief in my potential and their dedication to providing me with the best possible upbringing have played a significant role in shaping who I am today. From instilling strong values to encouraging my education and career pursuits, my parents have been there every step of the way. Their guidance and mentorship have been invaluable, and I credit much of my success and accomplishments to their influence. I am deeply grateful for their sacrifices, love, and the opportunities they’ve provided me. They are a fundamental part of my story, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without their tireless efforts and unwavering support.
