Meet Jayna Elizabeth | Entrepreneur & Dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jayna Elizabeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jayna, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Palmdale California (The High Desert). I was raised in a performing and visual arts family, so I was constantly around music, art, dancing and anything artistically expressive. Everyone in my family has an incredible artistic gift and my parents have had a non profit arts organization around the Antelope Valley to bring visual and performing arts to the community. No matter what it’s engraved in my being, I can’t go a day without singing, dancing or creating something. Definitely shaped and inspired me to build my own business in Events and Creative Enterprises.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I went through a very long process of figuring out what I wanted to do with my life, what brought me joy as well as something that I was passionate about. I’ve been dancing since I was 3 years old and that’s something I’ve always been good at and I’m passionate about it but also I love putting on productions and events for everyone to enjoy and connect with. Through college I was majoring in Sports Management and I don’t know why the heck I was doing that because I wasn’t good at it… at all. There were days when I’d be sitting in class spacing out and getting extremely bored with the lectures. I didn’t know why I wasn’t retaining information or driven to make this situation the best I could make it because I had so much fun going to the games, the preparation it took to get the team ready and getting the students excited for the events. But I realized it wasn’t the sports side of things i was in love with but the event side! I had the biggest epiphany probably in my whole life! At that moment I finally realized what I wanted to do with my life and it was event planning. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t see it before, I was planning after parties, small galas for my parent’s nonprofit on top of producing their shows since I was about 16. So, I mad the decision to change directions and I’ve been chasing and succeeding in this dream since 2017.
Since then, I’ve held annual events and produced shows throughout the Los Angeles area through my amazing company Eleimon Events! We specialize in intimate, exclusive events and creative enterprises such as music videos, photoshoots, album releases and showcases. I’ve used my knowledge of social media, performing and visual arts to creative a brand that is not only unique but a great asset to creatives in California. I’m proud of the events we’ve put on thus far. My favorite would have to be Summer Daze, an exclusive networking event for creatives and entrepreneurs in LA held every July! Each year it grows and tops the year prior. We’ve had several people return and make it into something that is unforgettable! I hope we can make a name for ourselves in the event world and continue to push the envelope.
It’s been tons of hard work, tears and praying to get to where I am today. I have been through many relationships where people would tell me I’m dreaming too big and I should give up or do something else as well as a lack of support from those who claim they’re in my corner but never follow through on their word. But I am so passionate and in love with giving people a space to let loose and create I had to drown them out with positive outlook and perseverance! I genuinely get a high from doing this and I can’t stop. The key for my success has been believing in my self, my vision and my why so much to the point where it’s impossible for it not to happen! Seeking our good mentorship and building a close team who believes in you and your vision is so important! You have to will it to happen and make it materialize into your reality! I’ve constantly had to tell myself to move out of my own way because the only thing that holds you back in the moments of fear is you.
I want the world to know that I am a trend setter, advocate for artists, believer and a star! Eleimon is becoming the catalyst for creative spaces and will bring in the future of exclusive and innovative events. There’s so much to accomplish when you believe in your gifts and have a team that is constantly pushing you to grow everyday.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in California there’s a plethora of places to see and things to do. So Cal is iconic with lots of fabulous stores, restaurants and beaches. We’d visit my favorite seafood restaurant EMC Seafood & Raw Bar in the Topanga Village with some delicious fresh seafood and cocktails! Then we’d hit Paoli’s Pizza for afters and karaoke (gotta get my song therapy). I’m a sucker for a good adventure or a great museum. Concerts are always happening so that’s must, to catch some great artists. I’m a born and raised desert rat so we have to do some offroading with dune buggies and quads for sure! Jam pack the visit with activities then wind down with a charcuterie and wine night or get some massages to relieve the body of stress.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s a line in Jon Bellion’s song “JT” that always resonates with me, ” Too many coincidences and instances of God’s hand, it’s insane. I thought my way to greatness I can claim this but He gave me the brain.” My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a super natural King of grace and goodness. I hold my faith to the highest credit in the places that I’ve been able to find myself. There have been times where there would be no explanation as to how I pulled something off, met a person or the timing of a situation or conversation could have happened on my own part. I’ve been blessed with so many creative gifts and I can’t thank God enough for helping me steward my purpose in the world. Faith is the thing that drives me toward my dreams and to complete my goals. All the honor and praise to Him!
I have such a wide scope of inspiration that comes my way everyday and I’m so grateful to have such amazing friends in my circle who are constantly pushing towards excellence and aiming to being the best version of themselves everyday. My timeline is full of their videography, choreography, marketing campaigns and small business endeavors and it makes me push myself to continuously do the same because when I see them winning it feels like a win for myself as well.
I’m also extremely inspired by Kayla Nicole. She’s such a power house! From her fitness to her broadcasting to her clothes, I’m always so excited to see how far she’s gone and what she’s going to do next! A complete beauty with class and the decorum of a queen! As a black woman she seeks to encourage and build up the black community and that’s very important for me. So, I hope to be able to meet and connect with her in the future and pick her brain a bit.
