Meet Preston Corbell | Stuntman

We had the good fortune of connecting with Preston Corbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Preston, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I started my film career on the set of Cabin Fever (2002). I worked as a utility stuntman, performing whatever was needed on set on any given day. The most important part of that experience was having the opportunity to be a stunt actor for the character The Bunny Man. Playing The Bunny Man gave me the edge to parallel my stunt career to where it is now, and opened the doors to so many film projects. That character plays an important role in the success of my brand of being a stuntman because it’s where it all started.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was invited to the set of a horror film that none of us knew would be as big as it became. Where I started is the most important aspect of where I ended up. The Bunny Man paved the way for my stunt career. Working on several Cabin Fever projects such as Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009) and Cabin Fever 3: Patient Zero (2014) gave me the stability to continue strong as a stuntman in the film industry. I have been able to gather 2 decades worth of work and it was not easy but it has made for some awesome stories. I have learned along the way that I will get injured and have setups but being a stuntman has given me a tough mindset and strong physicality.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Austin, TX and there are so many cool things to do and places to see. I would tell a visiting friend to Google where they want to go and let’s do it!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have had the opportunity to work with some major talents such as Will Ferrell. Danny McBride, Brooke Shields, Anna Kendrick, and Jason Schwartzman to name a few. The person who stands out and who not only gave inspiration but was such a kind soul was Ben Stiller. I worked with Mr. Stiller on The Heartbreak Kid (2007) and The Marc Pease Experience (2009). In both experiences, Mr. Stiller took the time to interact with me one-on-one and showed me the magic and gracefulness Hollywood can have.
