Meet Caue Chagas | Graphic & Motion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Caue Chagas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caue, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Pursuing an artistic or creative career has been an exciting and rewarding journey for me. Art is a form of expression that has allowed me to connect with the world in unique and meaningful ways. Some people are naturally talented in a specific area, while others discover their passion through life experiences. Others may be inspired by artists they admire or significant historical events. Regardless of the reason, pursuing an artistic or creative career can be an exciting and rewarding journey. In my case, my passion for animated films and the entertainment sector began at a very early age, due to the film The Incredibles, as this was a film that my mother put on TV when I was just a toddler to make me stay quiet, willing her to do her tasks in peace. This film and this emotional connection with it made me fall in love with the medium of animation and entertainment from a young age. At 14, I tried to start a YouTube channel for the game Minecraft and, as I didn’t have the money to pay for a large production, I decided to learn everything on my own, through videos on the internet. With that, I took my first steps into the world of art, more specifically design, learning about video editing, motion design, 3D programs, and graphic design. After a few years, I was in my last year of high school and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do until I discovered that it was possible to work and make money with the things I did since I was a child. However, I realized that there wasn’t exactly what I wanted in Brazil, and there weren’t many opportunities in the entertainment field. As a result, I decided to move to the United States to complete my degree and, consequently, have an “easier” path to entering the entertainment industry. Since then, my life in this area has been constantly evolving, I have managed to work on several short films made by my college friends, and increasingly show that I made the right choice in following my dream.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art reflects my passion for creativity and self-expression. I believe that art is a powerful tool that can inspire, educate, and entertain people. What sets me apart from others is my unique perspective and approach to art. I’m always seeking new ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible and create something truly original. I take great pride in my ability to connect with people through my art. Through my graphics and motion designs, I aim to create something that resonates with people while maintaining my personality.
The journey to where I am today professionally has been both challenging and rewarding. It hasn’t been an easy path, and overcoming the obstacles demands dedication, perseverance, and resilience. I faced hurdles such as moving to a new country, living alone for the first time in 18 years, and establishing a completely new social circle. I don’t elaborate much on the economic situation, but I embraced each difficulty as an opportunity to grow. One of the critical lessons I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in a constantly evolving industry while staying true to myself and my vision. It’s easy to get caught up in what others are doing or what’s popular at the moment, but I’ve found that the most rewarding experiences come from following my path and creating something truly unique.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I’m committed to creating art that inspires, educates, and entertains people. I firmly believe that art possesses the power to change the world, and I’m dedicated to utilizing my talents to make a positive impact on society.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When considering an itinerary for my best friend visiting Orlando, I am confident in providing a thoroughly enjoyable experience given the city’s abundance of entertainment options. Orlando is renowned for its globally recognized amusement parks, which serve as the primary attractions that showcase the city’s allure. I would initiate our exploration at the Universal Parks, as these have consistently provided me with an immersive and thrilling experience. Subsequently, a visit to the Disney parks becomes imperative, especially for a first-time visitor to the United States, as the enchanting ambiance of Magic Kingdom and the awe-inspiring sight of its castle create an indelible and magical memory. Moreover, recognizing my friend’s passion for basketball, attending an Orlando Magic game would undoubtedly be a highlight of our trip. Witnessing the game firsthand at the Amway Center would fulfill a cherished dream for my friend, elevating our visit with an exciting and memorable sports experience.
In essence, Orlando’s diverse offerings, including its acclaimed theme parks and sporting events, ensure a rich and captivating itinerary for visitors, promising an unforgettable time filled with enchantment and excitement.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe enormous gratitude to several people who were instrumental in my journey. Firstly, there’s no way I can’t mention my family as the most important people in my journey so far. They always encourage me to pursue my passions and believe in my abilities, even when I doubt myself. They, unlike many parents who do not support their children when they say they do not want to major in traditional areas such as law, medicine, and engineering, have always been very willing to help me and give me the freedom to follow my dream without any kind of judgment for taking the path of design into my major, always showing me that they never doubted my potential, not even for a minute. Furthermore, I would like to dedicate my tribute to my closest friends because they always supported me in pursuing a career in design before I even thought about going to college, saying that I was good at what I did and that I should turn this into my profession. In addition to not having judged me when I said that I was going to change parents to study, they rather supported me unconditionally in my decision, saying that I was making the right choice and that they believed in my potential and knew that I had the potential to become someone great in my area of expertise.
Finally, there’s no way I wouldn’t reserve a special space for the film The Incredibles, directed by the legendary Brad Bird. This film has been a reference in my life for as long as I can remember, and it was the inspiration behind my decision to try a career in the entertainment industry. If this film had never been released, perhaps I would never have been as passionate about my field as I am today.
