Meet Bigbag Dashay | Music Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bigbag Dashay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bigbag, why did you pursue a creative career?
I wouldn’t say I pursued music instead I would say I was called to it. Truly, I always felt as if music was always in me. As a preacher was called to preach, I was called to entertain. My voice carries power and it would be wrong of me if I was not obedient enough to answer my own calling.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I could list a million things that would immediately set me apart from other artist in the world. Truly, my dedication , is what I believe stands out the most. No matter how hard, how afraid, or how dark the days got; I remained faithful knowing that I could and will get through all things. Overall, I’m most proud about waking up each day and living in the moment. I never gave up . We wake up til this day which means we have a purpose to fulfill. Tomorrow is not promised ,therefore , we should not take the little time we have for granted.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Giving all respect, I would hit all iconic spots. Granted it may sound corny but hear me out. There’s a lot to say about Los Angeles but in reality there’s more to love than hate and many legendary people who walked in the same rooms we enter today. Crenshaw for example, Nipsey Hussle paved a way. Before the success, he was in my shoes and before his passing he showed me how possible it was to achieve all you wanted. After, I love breakfast so i’d say Roscoes or Fixins for a bite. Catch a game at the Crypto (staples center) and then back to the studio to focus on my craft.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost I want to thank God. I know for a fact I wouldn’t be as far as I am today if I didn’t trust him and his plan. He placed me and the right places at the right time and provided the right resources in order for me to share my talent today. My step farther Warren, inspired me in many ways which caused me to take on song writing and freestyling. From there I met many incredible people on this journey who encouraged me , supported me and guided me along the way. Last but not least I thank my manager, Lonnie Neal, as we stand strong today fighting obstacles and embracing the seasons we are placed in with much hope for what’s to come in the near future.
