Throughout my art career, my approach has been to do this thing called life as candidly and as authentically as possible. I had followed my bliss and the blessings that I was bestowed with since birth which is my art talent. I went with what I had and I gave it my all. I kept on doing, creating art, writing on art and growing as an artist and as an individual in my own business. Little did I know that by following my heart and bliss and staying true to my character that this will become a huge inspiration not only to the people around me such as my art students, but to my community and the world all together. Through the decades of creating art and writing on art, I have seen that what I say creates a ripple effect not only in the art world but also to the world beyond. Read more>>

There’s a well-known saying, that “when you help someone, you help everyone.” So in this work I do as an professional astrologer and a psychic medium, the ability to potentially and radically transform a person’s conception of their life, their understanding of reality and their place in it, can have a transformative effect that touches all the other people in that sphere. Much like the ripples generated by a single drop of water, the impact echoes out to a far greater range than what many people can fathom. I help people to understand their gifts, challenges, and natal promise when understanding their astrological chart and in the intuitive work, I provide permission-given guidance that validates what they already knew all along but needed confirmation of. There is only one thing Le Bovier Publishing loves more than books, and that is…gathering people. We publish books and produce experiences that we believe will bring people together–and connect their hearts and minds. As a publisher of books, Le Bovier obviously brings writers and readers together through written language, melding hearts and minds across space and time. For our purposes, the stories and ideas shared by the talented writers we work with must meet a certain threshold for inconvenience, or convey a message of ‘resistinct,’ which is the word we use to describe the work one does to resist instincts of self-preservation. That is, we hope to inspire readers to consider, and eventually approximate, new postures of tolerance toward others, particularly toward those who might otherwise be perceived as difficult to tolerate. BlkWmnAnimator was originally created to help kids, students, and parents learn more about animation through presentations, classes, and workshops. I traveled around New Orleans and Louisiana talking about my careers and teaching 3D animation. I eventually took my platform online and made a YouTube channel. At a time when I had a laptop that could barely run Adobe After Effects to edit some of my video ideas, I had to think of an alternative to keep my channel going. I realized that if I could interview animation professionals, I’d just have to chop the beginning and end of the videos in Windows Movie Maker and upload them. Now, four years later, it’s the main content on my channel and I have interviewed approximately 100 entertainment professionals including 80 Black animation professionals. Read more>>

I am very in tune with my community of skilled and creative professionals. Getting and maintaining work in the entertainment industry is a difficult process. The creative industries are demanding and sometimes unforgiving, so I am very fortunate to be able to provide jobs, job training and a bit of hope to a few incredible individuals from the community of the new generation of filmmakers. At the heart of Reach lies a compelling story of transformation and empowerment. My personal journey in the social media landscape began with a challenging experience: I was bullied in person. Yet, rather than succumb to the negativity, I chose to harness the power of my social media to create something positive – a community grounded in empathy, acceptance, and support. This experience shaped my understanding of the profound impact that a supportive community can have, especially in an environment as volatile as social media. When I entered USC, the importance of community was more evident to me than ever. I envisioned a space where individuals could not only feel safe but empowered to share their stories, their vulnerabilities, and their strengths. Read more>>

I have been an educator as long as I’ve been an artist. Teaching kids younger than me to weld in high school. Teaching graphic design right out of college. Teaching computer design tools to professionals. Basket weaving. Collage. Jewelry. Metalsmithing. Painting. Pottery. Robotics. And teaching children how to safely use power tools. It has always been important for me to share my knowledge and expertise. And it has supplemented my income as a working artist. When my kids were young I set up Tinkering Tents at private summer camps. That led me to starting a summer camp at reDiscover Center in Venice. What started as 10 kids, a pile of recycled materials and a bunch of tools has now turned into a 10 week camp season in 3 locations that serves 600 kids per summer. Read more>>

Trace Club was founded on the core idea that each individual and their actions leaves a mark on the world around them. Socially, this means the way we speak to and interact with others, as well as how we care for our communal spaces such as parks, recreational areas, and local neighborhoods. Environmentally, the way we treat the Earth has lasting impacts felt long after we’re gone, so we strive to educate and inspire our community members and plant ‘seeds’ of conscious responsibility and mindfulness that will have a truly positive impact on the world. Trace Club is dedicated to fostering a sense of community and interconnectedness among its members. Read more>>
