We had the good fortune of connecting with David Jofre and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks in my acting career and personal life has been crucial. At a personal level feels like we start facing decision-making when we are kids and the way we confront those challenges is what shapes our personalities. In my acting career risk-taking allowed me to embrace challenging roles that helped me grow professionally, and take leaps that propelled my career forward. These risks have helped me evolve, adapt to industry changes, and showcase versatility by exploring diverse characters and expanding my range. Each risk outcome, successful or not, has contributed to my development, teaching me valuable lessons along the way.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a working actor is not as easy as it seems. I can attribute my achievements to professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude, which have opened doors not just in the film industry but also in my new venture in Real Estate. Right now I’m excited to finally reside full-time in Los Angeles, ending the time split between Seattle and LA, focusing entirely on this beautiful sunny city.
Moving to the USA 21 years ago was a huge language challenge, particularly with my accent, limiting speaking roles initially to Spanish parts only or non-speaking roles. Overcoming this hurdle was a long journey, but investing in an accent reduction coach made a huge difference.
From my teenage years I’ve learned invaluable lessons: Never give up on your dreams. Be consistent, embrace continuous learning, and always remain prepared. These lessons have shaped my career path profoundly.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first thing I like to do is to check out the beach and soak up the beach vibes. Sunsets are unreal here! I’m pretty new to the area but I’m always up for new adventures. There are some pretty good ethnic restaurants with delicious food and bars with live music by the Hermosa Beach pier (that’s the area where I live).
Eating IN n Out by LAX with planes flying a couple of hundred feet over your head never gets old LOL.
I’m very interested in nature so my next adventure with a friend will be camping in either Joshua Tree or Catalina Island.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is to all the passionate artists and entrepreneurs who fearlessly pursue their dreams.
