We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Colesanti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Staying true to myself. This includes speaking my truth, not settling, not just going through the motions of wanting to be successful, but living life full of passion. I’ve never been someone who stays in any situation just because it’s comfortable. If it’s not right, get out, make a change, reconnect with the passion that drives you. I believe that and will always abide by that in my personal relationships as well as professional situations. I started my business in New York in 2006 and in 2014, I moved to California and started over. Here I am living my passion on the other side of the country, and very much successful, I may add.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an Exercise Physiologist, New York and California State Licensed Massage Therapist, 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher, and a Reiki Master Teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Exercise Physiology from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, and an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Massage Therapy from SUNY Orange in New York. I received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification under Yoga Alliance in 2007, and have taken continuing education courses in Athletes and Pelvic Rehabilitation (15 hours), SUP Yoga Teacher Training (40 hours), YOGA for PTSD (15 hours), Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki Healing and Traditional Thai Massage (28 hours), as well as being certified in CPR/AED and First Aid and PSUPA Flat Water 1. I am a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 2004, and was inducted into the Who’s Who Executive, Professional, and Entrepreneurial Registry in 2008 and 2009. I have been active in the movement community since the age of 5 and look forward to bringing people closer to overall Well-Being.

I created For Your Well-being on the basis that I wanted to provide whole body, mind, and spirit healing and be able to work freely and alone. I am a team player, but I prefer to do my work independently.

My offerings include Corrective Exercise and Rehabilitation, Massage Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Private and Group Yoga Instruction, Reiki Healing, Certifications & CEU’s, Personal Training, Oracle Card Readings, Aura Clearing, Nutritional Counseling, Chakra Balancing, Sound Therapy, Intuitive Bodywork, FYW Products and Gift Certificates.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live right above the beach so, walking down to the beach, grabbing frozen yogurt at Surf N’ Yogurt and take a walk on the beach is a must. I would also want to head to downtown Ventura and have brunch at Immigrant Son caffe. They are Italian too and provide amazing food with a family type atmosphere. Maybe heading up the coast to Summerland, for a visit at the Sacred Space. This shop has a beautiful back garden area where you can sit and have tea and journal, or shop all your crystal, spiritual, and Oracle needs. Hiking up in Ojai and then grabbing food pretty much anywhere up there would be awesome too!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family! My parents encouraged both my brother and I to lead lives that make us happy. I chose college and to become an Exercise Physiologist, and my brother chose to join the USN. We both followed paths that were so supported my our parents that we couldn’t help but make a mark in our own way. I am so thankful I had two parents that provided love and support to anything we ever wanted to do, even though we didn’t have much money, we learned and made it happen! My grandparents were also entrepreneurs and were very successful in their craft. My aunt was also very free spirited and lived her passion to the fullest. Needless to say, I’ve had a lot of family support and encouragement and had an amazing group of people to look up to as mentors and guides. I wouldn’t have been able to trust myself if I didn’t grow up with all this around me.
