Meet Beau Pierce | Sports Chiropractor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Beau Pierce and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Beau, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I still remember those Friday nights under the glow of the stadium lights, standing dutifully by my father’s side as he tended to player after player. Growing up with a son of a chiropractor for a dad meant I was no stranger to the healing power of the human body. I saw firsthand how proper care and treatment could get even the most battered athletes back on their feet. My dad’s office became a second home to me – that sterile, clinical world that felt anything but cold or uninviting.
So when my knee gave out during my sophomore year of high school, severing ligaments and cartilage alike, I felt surprisingly calm. Maybe it was those years by my father’s side that allowed me to trust in the surgical process. Or perhaps I had seen one too many miraculous recoveries unfold on that good ol’ football field. Whatever the reason, I approached my year of grueling rehab with an almost eager anticipation, curious to witness my body heal and rebuild.
By the time I entered university, my love of sports medicine and the mysterious inner workings of the human form had grown into a calling. I majored in Kinesiology and set my sights on a career just like my father’s. When I graduated at the top of my class – the first football scholar-athlete ever accepted to chiropractic college – it felt less like an achievement and more like coming home. Now when I enter my office each morning, it’s with the promise of paying forward even a fraction of the healing I was privileged to witness in my youth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a sports and family chiropractor on California’s Central Coast, Dr. Beau has not only built a thriving practice but become an influential voice in the chiropractic profession. In 2011 while establishing his Santa Maria clinic, he concurrently launched Circle of Docs – a blog covering leadership, practice management, products and more. It swiftly grew into the industry’s most-read blog with over 1,000 posts and podcasts.
Circle of Docs opened doors for Dr. Beau to share his business acumen with peers nationwide. After the blog was acquired in 2017, he began speaking at chiropractic colleges, associations and conferences. His presentations cover the gamut from entrepreneurship to social media but all aim to help fellow chiropractors succeed.
The demand for Dr. Beau’s insights led him to launch The Chiropractic Business Club on Facebook in 2020. The group now exceeds 4,000 members who discuss best practices and innovations. Additionally, Dr. Beau now coaches up-and-coming chiropractors on establishing and expanding their clinics.
Through his writing, speaking and coaching, Dr. Beau has become a leading advisor on building a thriving chiropractic practice. But he credits his Santa Maria patients as the driving force behind starting Circle of Docs years ago. Caring for the health of both his local community and profession remains his motivation.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge shout out to my family and friends who have supported me on this journey to become a chiropractor. From my dad, the Dr. Pierce, who first sparked my interest in sports medicine and healing, to my mom who drove me to countless practices and appointments after my knee injury in high school. To my college friends who endured late night study sessions with me and understood when I had to miss a party or two to hit the books. And to my family, who has been by my side every step of the way with encouragement and love as I navigated the long hours and difficult coursework of chiropractic college. I could not have made it here without each and every one of you. You kept me going on the hard days and celebrated with me during the highs. So thank you for helping this once injured football player achieve his dream career – I’ll be thinking of all of you as I work to pay forward the gift of healing each day.
