We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooklynn Quirola and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brooklynn, what do you attribute your success to?
Success is a concept that has a unique meaning for each individual. In my view, it’s found in the small yet significant moments that are along one’s career journey. For me, success manifests in different ounces when I secure an event booking or witness the satisfaction of our clients as their visions are brought to life. It is crucial in pursuit of greater goals as a company to pause and savor these victories. While it’s normal to strive for growth and advancement as a company, when you forget to appreciate these small triumphs the demanding, hectic days become draining. Embracing joy and significance in every opportunity my company engages in is the cornerstone of our true success.
What should our readers know about your business?
Summerset Events is a culmination of my lifelong passion for event planning, which has finally come to fruition after spending many years in the marketing industry. Having ventured into the corporate world, I realized that my true calling laid in owning and nurturing my own business, where I could channel my creativity and dedication into something I could call my own.
My love for event planning began at a young age. I truly fell in love with weddings and found an abundance of inspiration from shows like My Fair Wedding with David Tutera and Say Yes to the Dress. I would plan imaginary weddings, and sketch out my visions, dreaming of the day when I could bring these ideas to life. This passion from a young age has been the driving force behind Summerset Events.
Looking ahead to 2024, I couldn’t be more excited for what’s in store for Summerset Events. We have a lineup of exciting projects, including hosting a vendor collective and orchestrating several stunning weddings. Additionally, we’re exploring new avenues for expansion, all while staying true to our core values of creativity, integrity, and exceptional service.
Ultimately, I want the world to know that Summerset Events is more than just a business. We are your support system through the event planning process. We aim to make dreams happen and create memories that will last a lifetime for all our clients. Overall, we’re thrilled to continue our journey and make a positive impact in the world of event planning.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in the city are the local pop ups and farmers markets. There is nothing better than meeting business owners and supporting their business through my purchases. The local farmers market is great for fresh meat, flowers, locally sourced ingredients, and homemade food that is like no other! I also love a good iced matcha and small coffee shops that do pop ups at these events are always the best.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I would like to thank my entire family and friends for always being supportive of my hopes and dreams. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the support of all of you. A special thank you to my mom and dad for always pushing me to shoot for the stars and never give up. You are both my biggest inspiration in life. A shout out to my supportive boyfriend who is always a listening ear for my creative ideas and someone who gives me motivation in all aspects of my company. Finally, thank you to my incredible team who works with me on every event to ensure perfection for our clients. I couldn’t do it all without you!
