Meet Jamie Choe | Floral Designer & Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Choe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie, what matters most to you?
Integrity is the principle that matters most to me. It is the principle that reflects the depth of our character. Whether in my personal life or in business, the presence of integrity is what determines my success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The customer means everything to me. My goal is always for them to be 100% happy and satisfied with their order. I put my heart and soul into each arrangement and design. Knowing that the recipient of one of my arrangements is delighted, could not be more fulfilling! Starting a business from scratch was anything, but easy! A positive attitude is a must! I just take one day at a time and face challenges as they come. The basic ingredient is good, old-fashioned hard work. The Sweet Blooms brand is all about working together to bring a little joy to peoples’ lives.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The South Bay is an amazing area! We could visit several of the beautiful beaches. We could ride bikes on the strand that runs from Manahattan to Hermosa Beach. There are so many breakfast/brunch spots along the way! The hiking trail in Palos Verdes would make for a great day! The Botanical Gardens are gorgeous! At night, there are many restaurants near the beach with outdoor seating, where we can take in the sunset while sipping a nice glass of wine and having a great meal.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am incredibly grateful for all of the many people who play active roles in my success. My family and friends could not be more encouraging of my passion for floral design and of my goal to open my own business. My kids’ school community and amazing members at Sandpipers organization (https://www.sandpipers.org/) have been unbelievably supportive by connecting me to different opportunities. Hermosa Beach gave me such a warm welcome to the business community. Especially during the pandemic, the surrounding small businesses have banded together to help each other. My clients are wonderful to work with and their continued patronage motivates me to stay on this path.
