Hi Selin & Brittany, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Our dedication to sustainability is visible in all aspects of Fizi Active’s operations. We prioritize environmentally friendly practices to reduce our environmental impact, such as using compostable materials in our shipments and using recycled paper for the packaging of our Pilates grip socks. Additionally, we partner with One Tree Planted to plant a tree with every order, thereby supporting forestry initiatives and combating climate change. Our mission is to inspire both our customers and the wider community to adopt sustainable lifestyles and collectively work towards creating a greener, healthier planet.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Fizi Active, we take pride in being more than just a pilates grip sock company. What sets us apart is our commitment to creativity, sustainability, and a holistic approach to health and wellness. Our socks aren’t just products; they are the result of our hands-on approach to design. We fully design our socks in-house, actively wearing and testing them to ensure they meet our high standards. This dedication to quality extends beyond our socks – it’s a reflection of our core values.

We are a female-led Canadian brand that is committed to achieving a balance between comfort, wellness, health, and style. Our journey started with a shared vision between two close friends who believed in creating something meaningful together. From creative sock designs to building and customizing our website and social media platforms, our entrepreneurial energy and creativity have been the driving forces behind our business’s growth.

We’re excited about our partnership with One Tree Planted, emphasizing our commitment to the sustainability of our planet! It hasn’t always been easy, but overcoming challenges has been part of our journey. The lessons learned along the way have fueled our growth and resilience. What we want the world to know is that Fizi Active represents more than just stylish grip socks – we embody a dedication to creativity, sustainability, and the power of a shared vision. We’re on a mission to inspire a balanced and stylish approach to health and wellness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For an awesome week in Toronto with my bestie, we’d start with brunch at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen in the Distillery District. We would then go explore the artsy scene at the Royal Ontario Museum and catch a show at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, followed by a picnic at High Park and chilling on the Toronto Islands. Exploring the diverse vibes of Kensington Market and Chinatown, wandering Queen Street West’s trendy spots, and soaking in the artsy districts would also be on the agenda. We’d wrap it up with delicious eats and a laid-back stroll along the Harbourfront, capping off an unforgettable Toronto week.

As co-founders, we would like to acknowledge one another. Our success in establishing this venture together has been driven by our consistent support, common vision, and collaborative attitude. Our friendship, which dates back to our school days, has merged with our passion for wellness, fashion, and health to create a dynamic alliance that never stops inspiring. Our business has been greatly shaped by our innovation, encouragement, and mentoring. This shoutout honors our friendship, our common interests, and the incredible adventure we have taken together.
