We had the good fortune of connecting with Filipe Ramos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Filipe, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After working in the industry for an extended period, I have always harbored a desire to forge my own path. Crafting something unique in today’s competitive landscape is undoubtedly challenging. However, when my partner and I conceived the idea for our business, our primary objective was to provide an unparalleled experience within an exceptionally comfortable environment. Our vision transcended the conventional client/seller dynamic, aiming to establish a welcoming and familiar setting.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To begin, I would like to express that art has always been a significant presence in my life. I approach my art with utmost seriousness, recognizing its potential to truly transform someone’s life. I strive to establish a more personalized connection with each client, fostering a friendship-based relationship. I do not adhere to the belief that everyone should follow trends. Instead, I prioritize what works best for each individual in their daily life and, most importantly, what instills the greatest sense of confidence in them, while always respecting the limitations of their hair and my capabilities.
I am a diligent worker, understanding that success in life does not come easily. If it does, one should be wary, as something may be amiss. My journey to where I am today has been fueled by courage, self-assurance, and kindness towards others.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a beach guy… so first I would take them along the coast, to Malibu, maybe little bit farther to Santa Barbara and Carmel
9 really pretty place). So then I would take them to some hikes ( escondido falls, Hollywood sign, and eaton canyon trail). secondly I am definitely a foodie, LA is one of the best places to eat here, (Catch LA, Steak 48, Din tai dung, Javiers, Kazunori, UOVO,) and like every angeleno Sunday lets go for a brunch… Bacardi silver lake, or Urth caffe, dialog caffe). afternoon Sunday funday in Weho is a must for a first time in LA.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
first to God, that create me, and gives the everyday inspiration to keep going, secondly my husband that was the person that made me start working in the industry, without him I wouldn’t be where I am today.
