Meet Nadzeya Baturevich | Balloon Artist and Party Rental Company Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadzeya Baturevich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nadzeya, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was always seeing myself as an entrepreneur and was exploring different ventures I tried to start a cleaning business, I was selling women clothes. I was always making money one way or the other and exploring different options. I tried to resell on Ebay and it was pretty successful. I tried AirBnB and Turo. I feel like all of those skills helped me to be where I am right now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve started doing balloon decor in 2017 so it was almost 7 years ago and back then there was not that much information available on how to make balloons or how to promote a business like that. I was practicing a lot and honestly I was making so many mistakes in the beginning that I’m still shocked I kept doing what I was doing. I then started learning how to promote myself best through social media, how to increase brand awareness and little by little by business started to get noticed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s a good question. I would definitely go to the beach for a nice walk or a bicycle ride it’s certainly the best. I would show a hike with the view of Hollywood sign simply cause it’s a staple and a must-see when in LA. I also love Getty Villa it has such a relaxing vibe plus all that beautiful art there is just making it a very special pace. I feel like Yamashiro would be a great place for some Japanese food and incredible view of the city. Definitely a staple. And one of my favorite restaurants is L`antica Pizzeria da Michele.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I will cite Snoop Dog here: “I wanna thank me, for believing in me”, but obviously it was not just me but my dedication is responsible for 90% of my own success. My mom supported my every crazy idea, she was my biggest cheerleader and helped me to overcome my fears. I started going to therapy when I was having trouble growing my business and support there helped immensely as well, I want to also mention going to business conferences and having friends who are entrepreneurs.
