Meet Germaine Gaudet

We had the good fortune of connecting with Germaine Gaudet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Germaine, how do you think about risk?
Risk is to dare. To dare to do things differently. Dare to pursue a challenge where the outcome is unknown. Dare to learn, to thrive and to fail. I have taken paths in my life that were and are different. While living in my home country, Canada, I chose computer science at a time when women were few in that field. I chose to give up my career for a few years to chase my dream to live in Europe and then chose to restart my career in Silicon Valley. I dared to retire from the technology field to pursue acting in commercials which led to acting in films and led to producing my first film, Greek Philosophia and Chickens, which has won numerous awards and accolades. So dare to try new things, put in the time to learn and be really good at it and enjoy the grind every step of the way.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We can be creative at any time in our lives. I love acting and working in a collaborative environment. I love to learn and continue to improve my craft. I’m a working actor with many IMDb credits and I am grateful to continue to be a part of great stories. My next project is THE STORIES JESUS TOLD directed by Nancy Hamilton and I’m happy to be a part of this beautiful message. These are the kind of projects that I continue to pursue, with individuals that I admire.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am fortunate to live in the Bay area and lived in San Francisco for 15 years. We have my husband’s cousin coming in from Scotland and he will be given the “Germaine 10 cent tour” as I call it. We will visit San Francisco, go over the Golden Gate Bridge and look at the city from that vista, perhaps Muir Woods, Napa and or Sonoma for some wine tasting. In San Francisco, we will go to the west side to see the bridge from that vantage point and I will drive them down Lombard Street, just for fun. We will lunch in the Marina area and walk Crissy Field, my favorite walk. Heading south, there is Carmel, 17-mile drive and Big Sur. So much natural beauty.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to recognize Peter Allas and Rob Zimmerman from ZA Studios, where I have trained in acting for close to 7 years. They have made me a better actress. My husband John Ellsworth has always been supportive of my journey. My family is always cheering me on.
